  • Anyone who knows anything about 3d printing do you think within 10 years I will be able to print my desktop printer. That's very different than a bike

  • did they print the tube out too?

  • printing with biological cells would be intriguing.

print a custom neural net out of real neurons ?

  • Well this plan's going to be fucked as soon as someone buys a 3d printer and realises they can just print off another 3d printer :/

  • 7:55 to see the bike go.

  • Such an old fashion 3d printer. I work with a zcorp 650 full color everyday. This doesn't compare.

  • You...uhm...use a helmet, in an open, private space...to ride a tiny bicycle...at 2mph? If such a cautious guy prints a bicycle I assume the Megaupload guy would have already printed a Ferrari

  • He should have put training wheels on it

  • Print food, solve world hunger.

    Fuck yeah.

  • @Cabooselol22

Lets hope "food printers" run on solar power for the 3rd world and use nutritious tasty bits to start with other wise everything will taste like a Pringles chip.

  • in 5 years, we'll be able to download more RAM.

in 10 years, I'll be able to download a bear.

  • 8:42 "The next one will be foda" auhaiahuiahuiahiahuia

    Esse eh brasileiro kkkk jk

  • when can we print DIAMONDS

  • @jayr2l2 You can print something that LOOKS like diamonds, but since it would be composed entirely of the nylon plastic composite material, it will not be diamond due to its chemical make up.

  • It would be good if then you had a spray painter ontop of it with a air compressor in the middle

  • Nice steering angle LOL aeroSPACED

  • can you print megan fox? that would be awsome!

  • PSA: "You wouldn't download a car".

Humans: "Fuck you, I would if I could."

  • This is revolutionary! I could imagine this technology in the next 5, 10, 25, 100 yrs.

If they used polymer 6 or something similar the same plastics that are used in Glock polymer pistols it would make it a stronger end product.

  • I would print a sick ass bong lol

  • Until they can print something as solid as my Fezzari R2 I'm not interested in a printed bike.

  • thumps up als je hier komt door de humo

  • @Arno18Production Haha ja, inderdaad!

  • I can't wait to torrent my next bike...

  • make the scientists some girl friends

  • @rocklee4578 2:47 :ooo

  • @aroymart we all know those guys arent pulling any

  • @rocklee4578 hes got a ring on his finger is what i mean!

  • that's one ugly looking bike

    i would never buy it

  • @skaterphilippines Cool story bro

  • @mic09dcsm09 lame story bro

  • @skaterphilippines you won't have to:)

  • NOW WE CAN TORRENT ANYTHING!!!!

  • @rwe52496 But actually. Piratebay just started including 'Physibles' Downloads which are data objects that users can transform from digital to physical form via 3D printers and scanners.

  • @rwe52496 DRAGON DILDOS!

  • @rwe52496 anything a 3d artist decides to give away for free lol

  • Printed Bike... it won't see BMX for a few more years and *plenty* of tweaks.

  • Just imagine on a maker bot ( fo Eva )

  • so u use cocaine to make a statue

  • how to get rich fast

    1. buy a 3d printer

    2. buy a lot of the powder

    3. print a 3d printer

    4. sell it

    5. restock on powder

    6. repeat from step 3

  • @superpro100 except that reprap can't even reproduce itself entirely :P

On top of that, capitalism relies on scarcity of product, and a self replicating technology would eventually run itself out of business. Then the only ones still around would be the powder makers XD

  • @superpro100,

    Print this !

    Haha-Haha and haha.

  • Build a plane next time :D

  • Daughter: (crying) Mom, I broke my phone!

Mother: It's okay, darling, I will print you another one.

  • Why doesn't someone get serious and build the same thing but using a wire fed welder to create things in various metal alloys.

  • Hello people of 2021 where you are laughing at our primitive ways of duplication!!!

  • And they said internet piracy times will be over, well, I see new copy opportunities on this one xD

  • I will print my car :)

  • They didn't print the tires themselves, boooo!

  • Cool stuff but, funest for the economy!

  • Now, I wish people from the stone age could see this.

  • This is peanuts compared to what they're doing in Oxford -

  • @GoVir4l What're they doing in oxford? O.o

  • Why was there loud music overlaid when the bike was being ridden? Was it to hide the horrible crunching noise as the shredding nylon disintegrates?

  • 3 people here don't like a bike...

  • Wait... so these guys make aeroplane parts? Now i know a bike it harder to make than an aeroplane :P

  • @SadSmile87 Making a bike out of plastic powder is difficult.

  • This is like garrys mod IRL

  • He actually went out and bought a helmet? He could have just printed one...sucker!

  • @tbird3716 I Don't think a printed Helmet could withstand a head hitting the ground.

  • @loeparedes1 Depending on the materials it may be do-able. Perhaps a deformable honeycomb structure that acts like a crumple zone of a car. The helmet gets mashed on impact, but the deformation absorbs most of the impact.

  • The sound of the printer sounds like music to me.

  • why spokes? they should have made solid wheels.

  • Remember: Copying and giving it away is not stealing.

  • @Nexxion I would

  • "bits from bytes".. I love dat one...

  • Now i understand hoe Patrick made his furniture.

  • Can a RepRap print a bike? haha

  • I want to print a pirate ship!

  • Print MONEY

  • Will it blend?

  • can it make football boots

  • But can the 3D Printer PRINT itself?!?

  • @BlinkinMad I think that's one of the goals right now.

  • @BlinkinMad A printer within a printer? Printception!

  • @BlinkinMad

UP! 3D printers actually have parts in them made by other UP! printers!!

  • @BlinkinMad google reprap

  • @BlinkinMad yes

  • @BlinkinMad Actually - yes. Yes they can.

  • @BlinkinMad If it's a RepRap :D

  • how much is one 3dprinter ? i'll sell everything i've got !

  • Sweet now we are closer to Star Trek than EVER BEFORE!!!

  • Boeing is printing airplanes parts, with a large 3d printer, they now can turn out a prototype very quick for testing.

  • I would print a bbgun!

  • @tomkemp4000 If you watched the whole video you would have said "Amazing!"

  • Do Audi next.

  • YOU WOULDN'T DOWNLOAD A BIKE

  • @Nexxion I would

  • @Nexxion what?

  • I said, "Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay!!" out loud when he was able to ride it. :D

  • this bicycle not suitable for fat people.

  • Does anyone know the music that starts at 5:37? I've heard it somewhere before but can't think of it.

  • @akiratubo sounds like Goldfrapp - Strict Machine

    watch?v=5A309uVwAck

  • @PostRationalDebris

Yeah, that sounds like it! Thanks, pal!

  • @akiratubo it sounds like something from rock and rolla... does sound pretty cool..

  • Who is the narrator?

  • witnessing a manufacturing process that will revolutionise what we have currently, think of the possibility

  • no more trekking to ikea on a saturday morning with the missus

  • Theoretically, the bike could have been printed completely assembled. The reason it was not was that the printer is too small to house the entire thing. The proof is in the wheel hub - if they can print the hub with the bearings already inside, both free and operable, then it shows that the whole thing could have printed if space allowed.

  • @Geezuskereist Only problem is the wires for gear and brakes and the spokes for the rims, but most the remaining could, theoretically, be built in one go.

  • Comment removed

  • @Geezuskereist

Didn't realize they weren't planning on using metal in some parts before I wrote that comment, sorry.

  • @Geezuskereist What about the dust still left in the bearings, would that be an issue?

  • and i though a bike would emerge fully assembled from the powder at first

  • Too bad they didn't gear it correctly. Then they wouldn't have looked so pathetic trying to ride. Good Job.... And the Bit for Byte printer can print complete bearings - also....

  • @bstott2002 but 2 people 2 weeks, it's okay i think

  • 3D printer printing carbon fiber will be much better :)

Better/stronger substance and we can build cars , jets etc...

  • @LordLab that what im searching now hehe

  • Disappointed! They still need to assemble the parts by hand instead of printing the entire thing in one go.
