thanks for the advice on the tias i always knew i had to get in with the family but i didn't know the tias held the key to the concha. I always knew the parents are okay with the chinitos. but its her friends and her clique that's gonna say "whats with the chino huy". so I think a social stigma does exist in mainland mexico about dating a chino specifically, not so much with gabachos or negritos. Happy chinese new year coincendentally on the 14th this year. I'll break out the web cam next time

Actually, I think that the very first person you SHOULD get approved from is from her father, especially if her dad really cares about her daughter & is very protective. If the mom doesn't like you very much, it doesn't really matter as long as the dad approves of you 'cause whatever the dad says, goes 'cause he is the head of the house. Generally, I think this only applies to traditional & conservative Mexican families.
