that helped a lot, i have a face balanced putter, as you say, and i realize now why i never liked it, i need a toe balanced one !

I honestly didn't even realize there was a difference in balance regarding putters.
I've had the same putter for years, very toe heavy come to think of it, and I am very much a person who prefers the pendulum motion on the green.....
Who knew. I think a trip to the pro shop may be in order.
