  • now i know how...thanks to u!♥

  • I've always wanted to tie french braid.. but my arms gets tired easily and I've layered hair :(... You're great !

  • @groovylocks my hair's like that too. & i can't seem to really get it either. i'm gonna try it right now cause this is by far the best video of seen

  • Okay, so I've know how to french braid for a while now, and do different styles (incorperating french braiding) on my various and willing family members, but it is SO HARD for me to do it on myself because I have shorter hair! I might sound a little melodramatic, but you have seriously inspired me not to give up, to just keep trying, no matter how tired my arms get, because boy do they get tired! :) Thanks for taking the time to make this video.

  • You should at least list the steps in the description especially because the quality isn't great.

  • booooo u need to talk

  • Believe it or not, I saw what you were doing pretty clearly :) Thank you for sharing. How long did it take you to get the hang out of doing it so comfortably? I can french braid, fishtail braid and all that IF it's with dangling hair. My only problem is starting the braid from the scalp and gradually adding pieces of hair to the plait. So how long'd it take you to get so comfortable with it?

    -xoxo,mie

  • @MieMegaLove : To be honest, I don't quite remember. I always knew how to braid, it seems, and so it was quite easy to learn to braid the french way. :) It just took about 3 or 4 times until I managed, and a few more times to really get the hang of it to do it quickly.

And well, I agree, it is easier with longer hair. Thank you for your comment. :)

  • THANKS FOR THE STEPS

  • CAN YOU SAY THE STEPSSSS!?

  • @Lonleygirl82 Writing in all caps is considered 'screaming'. And no, sorry, I can't. I braid my hair differently now because it is hiplength now. There are MANY tutorials on french braids on youtube, most of them say the STEPSSSSS. Please refer to those. Thank you :)

  • i tried it while watching and it was pretty decent only one piece near the bottom was bigger so it looked a little off but this is the first video i have seen that i can use because my hair is a little less then shoulder length and i hope i get better!

  • thank you soo much! my hair is about your length with TONS of layers and this works really well:)

  • this video is soooooo good...I learned it on my first attempt.....totallly happy!

  • @hazelblue84 : thank you :) I am glad you managed!

  • but see, the same problem is happening for you that happens for me. I have long, long hair but it has multiple layers ranging from long to fairly short. And the little pieces stick out :( Everyone says "use gel" but I don't use product in my hair.

I think with hair like yours, that's straight and fairly thin, it's easier. My hair is very wavy and very thick and the pieces that stick out are VERY noticeable.. Giant cowlicks.

Maybe i should bite the bullet and use product but i hate to do that.

  • @groovylocks: Hey! My hair isn't really thin, it just looks like that because it was really really short ;) Anyways, I hear you, I hate using products too, and to be honest, my hair sticks out horribly as well (in this video it doesn't, because it only starts doing that after a few minutes).

To be honest I have not found a solution without using products, sorry :(

  • @groovylocks you could always straighten your hair before braiding it. that's what i do. sure it's more work, but it comes out really nice :)

  • you make it look sooo easy! lol uugghh too bad it isnt )x

  • so are you just dropping the middle strand everytime and adding more?

  • @xthatlittleTANgirlx : I answered the exact same question several times already :)) Sometimes reading helps, you know! =)

  • @Godiva6666 My bad

  • so basicly like a normal french braid but shorter?

  • @Rikigals Hmm, yes, you could say so. you just also have to take smaller strands, or else it doesn't stay braided, like a normal longhair-braid would, with thicker strands.

  • this is great after seeing this i can do it perfectly thanks !

  • hey how long did it take u 2 learn 2 french braid ur own hair???????im not gettin da strands part......

  • @darockstar05 : well, you see, I learned to frenchvraid on *long* hair (waistlength I think), and it only took me a few attempts until I managed, so... maybe 20 minutes? ;) Just practise! you can do it.

  • That's adorable

  • i wish that you could just braid my hair through the computer :D lol.

i honestly cant do squat with my hair, and like you i'm trying to grow it out...so thanks alot for this tutorial!!

    i finally can braid :D

  • @colorfulemokid glad I managed to help you :)

  • I watched this 10 times and i still dont get it :/

  • @gerradrooney1120 : it just takes some practice... =) Don't worry if it doesn't work the first time. And just let your hair grow longer, that will make it easier.^^

  • OMG thank u SO MUCH 4 making this vid i'm a tranny boy have short hair like urs but mines like 2 inches longer but still shor. u ROCK ! =) if u still have short hair PLEASE do more vids on how one can style short hair =D

  • @TheBitchesHate: thanks for your comment ;) As you can see in my other videos, I am letting my hair GROW, meaning letting it GET LONGER ;) So no, I no longer have short hair. but thank you ;)

  • you make it look so easy. looks like you are only working with two strands. you seem to drop the middle one, is this right?

  • @casagrandecats

Yes, I always dropped the middle one to add new hair to it (with my thumb), then lift it up again and drop another one, add hair to it... and so on and so forth :P

  • You have really pretty hair :D It looks really silky. What kind of shampoo do you use?

  • @heylolover a different one everytime I wash ;) German brands, I doubt you'll know it.

  • ur twitchy

  • Holy crap that's amazing o.o

    Lol..

  • thanks you soo much this really helped:D

  • Ok how

  • this is the best video for french braid! thank you a lot!!

  • my hands get tired easily and its difficult for me to sort out my hair without being able to look at it,is there a way?

  • @xXxViSUALxKEixXx practice... just do it again and again and again, until you can do it. I know it's not that easy, but once you did it a few times, it'll get easier, I promise :D

  • @xXxViSUALxKEixXx haha! Mine too. Practice :)

  • @xXxViSUALxKEixXx : you could just hold your hair in one hand and rest the other one, then continue to braid, then rest the other hand... it gets better with time

  • @pansykiller

Dude, that's EXACTLY what I thought!!!!

Lmaoooooo!!!!!! But it was a very good tutorial:D
