I would guess this is earlier than 1984. I saw ESG open for Public Image Ltd. in November of 1982 in Pasadena California. Danceteria was "home turf" and ESG had kinda disappeared from view (records-wise, at least) by 1984. I'd be willing to bet it was maybe from 1982 or 1983. Will try to find out for certain.
