I thank you! I wasn't so sure if I want a Yamaha Motif or Fantom? I want the sweet pitchs. I wish, I have Open Labs. Pfft. The Korg M50 is alright, not into it. Hah. I like that drums. 0:54 -1:14 That's remind me of NaS drums ride.
I Like Most of your Beats 4 sho, much props. My preference is the Motif better sounds I own one myself. I had Korg, Rolands, even created stuff on EnsonicQ. but Motif is hot for real live instrument sounds. You can check out some of my beats on myspace.

i was interested in getting the yamaha motif xs6 but was wondering if you could produce the beat right onto the keyboard alone, like i know the phantom does, if i had the money i'd definitly pick up the phantom, but since im on a budget i was thinking the motif xs6 but if u can let me know thanks so much.
Nice track bruh! One question though, if you don't mind, why did you get rid of the XS6? I currently own the old original Motif, but feel the need to upgrade to one of these bad boys. I see that you also have the Fantom. Which do you prefer, as far as sound quality and number of usable presets?
@4iamu I do miss my Motif but the Fantom is like having a sexy girl thats sweet and rich and has no drama!! LOL The XS6 would have served as a great synth but the Fantom just has so much and its a lot easier to use. I might pick up a motif rack when I get my Open Labs to copy all the sounds in the XXL Open Labs.
@cgproduces how do you like the open labs in comparison to the fantom? which model do you intend to own? i saw teddy riley demoing one of these on you tube....man! that thing seems like it can do everything. excuse me for asking so many novice questions. i'm actually not a real keyboardist, but use it as a production tool to lay down parts to solo over on my piccolo bass.
Best way to describe this track is Neo Soul meets 90's boomp bap.Simply incredible. This is 1 of my fave joints by you.I dig it alot.Much props homie !!!
Awe no doubt homie. You had heart to go in and at least try, what more can they ask for. Ladies love that too. ;-) They like a cat who does music and stay humble and humble beginnings is where it all starts, a year or two from now, you'll be the next Scot Storch or Jus Blaze. I'm tryna be one'a them dudes. Handle it brugh.
Man that is such a hard question! LOL The truth is that I love the drums and the synths on the Motif but I love everything about the FANTOM. I was totally in love with the Fantom till I played the OPEN LABS XXL. That will be my new baby soon!
Hey Bro, when you get the Neko XXL, are you gonna sell the motif and the fantom? I ask b/c the Neko has that program called "Mimik" where it can emulate any keyboard, therefore, you wouldn't need those other two after transferring the sounds into the Neko. I saw you sold your mpc to ryan so I was thinking.... Anyways, hope to hear from you!! And thanks for responding! A lot of people have been referring me to the motif! Also, does the fantom G sound better than x-series?
I might keep them around to just jam out on. I sold the MOTIF already I don't think I can part with the Fantom though even though I will have the XXL. I actually sold Ryan my Akai XR20 which has more sounds than my MPC 5000 but that's a different story. The G is the best of the FANTOMS by the way.
Wow man! I don't know about a hip hop beat, But definitely hear a Gill Scott or some neo-soul artist setting the mellow groove mind state with this one...A nice mellow head bobbin beat...you with ya girl she leans over to whisper something sexy in ya ear...(pause to go get water) A mayne good job! Bout ta get carried away for min. Keep up the good work! Peace.
im funkin wittit g.. yo style reminds me of my own... im on a classic 8 though.... you are one of the few people on here makin beats on tha motif that i feel are actually usin the potential to make some slappin ass s#it brotha man
Thanks for the love man this was one of my first beats on my Motif. I didnt know if anyone would even like I thought it was hot when I first did it. It feels good knowing you liked it. Thanks once again for the love!
Man how funny you would mention that I just did a remake of a spice one welcome to the ghetto but made it jazzy. IT IS OFF THE HOOK. I will post it soon. Thanks for the love.
That's the hardest thing for me also, Im not an engineer but it seems that you have to learn to be an engineer also to perfect your music. Im learning pro tools and find it super complicated because Im new to it. Im going to take a pro tools course and sees what happens after that.
To answer your questions you do not have to use Software with the Motif.
Thanks man Im so glad someone is feeling my beats! Im trying hard to learn something new everyday that so that I continue to get more creative. Thanks for the love man I appreciate it so much!
Very very hot track Corn, you got mad skills man, thx for posting, all thumbs up!!!!

Nice beat, I own a Motif myself. love the real instrument sounds. I've used Korg Triton pro x, EnsonicQ ASR, Roland, but motif has that real feeling.
