  • microman and diaclone the original transformers

  • whenever i hear the song "Iron Man" i think of this guy.

  • I had this guy. This thing was lame. It broke so easily. LOVE THE COMMERCIAL THOUGH!

  • wouldn't it be cool if those toys could actually do all the stuff they do in these ads?

  • japanise was the masters of stop motions

  • Aw I want one of those.I wish some toy company would reintroduce the toys of the 70s.I'm not rich enough to buy all those toys on ebay.

  • wow how awesome would it be to see giant transformers that were not combiners but noo this is japanese exclusive only dammit hasbro i want those thing and i want it now

  • The great wah-wah instrumental on this superb advert is 'Shut Up' by Eddie Warner. Taken from his 1971 'Progressive Percussions' LP on the French 'L'Illustration Musicale' (IM) library music label (music made to appear on TV & radio-for a fee). I have it on the cool & long deleted Jazzman LP 'Le Jazzbeat! 2'. It's astounding that a French library track appeared on a Japanese ad. Testament i guess to how far & wide these production discs went & how far ad men will look to seek out the right tune!

  • @ComicStripRocks

    that is seriously fucking fascinating.

This is a great groove... wow.

  • Biotron would mop the floor with Optimus Prime.

  • LOL I love the drill busting through the rock wall ^___^ If only I had my own giant robot to carry ME around in its chest or on its arm, to do as I command!!

  • STRONG GUY!!!!!! thats awesome!!

  • Strong Try!!!

    甲高くもぶっとい内海賢二さんの声がなつかしいね~

  • wow! that advert was intense XD

  • i had this toy!

  • This was actually the very first transforming robot toy! Everything that came since, from Diaclone to Transformers Animated, from Machine Robo to Power Rangers, recognizes this as their grandpappy.

  • I just bought a BIOTRON off Ebay.

Never had one as a kid.

How much are original BIOTRON'S worth?

    Thinking about customising it.

  • BIOTRON! Greatest toy I ever had.

  • We had some micronauts, but they didn't have bellbottoms like these ones do. They were cool, but had wrists that were always bent at awkward angles.

  • OK, I knew nothing about Japanese toys, but when this came out, I BEGGED my parents to buy it for me. EFF the Barbie makeup head I'd wanted before I saw this, Me and my brother played with action figures, and this was the greatest one I'd EVER SEEN! It could be like a million things! And he was around the size of a Barbie as well! (Not that she'd marry a robot!) LOL, trying to play with all our toys at once was so ridiculous, but we did it somehow! (And YES, I got it on my BIRFDAYYYYY!!!)

  • YAY!

  • STRONGBREAK

  • ROBOTOMAN!!

  • Why did that have porn music?

  • LOL To get you in the mood to have bot on bot action!!!

  • Thats kung fu music brotha.

  • I've still got the body and the wheels up in my parents attic alongside JJ Arms... I forgot what the hell it was... thanks for reminding me. :)

  • Wikka wikka bow bow. Pretty funky commercial.

  • what is the 70s was that a decade er sumthin

  • the micronauts were the transformers of the 70s.

  • Good job! Gold star for you for remembering your toy history!!

  • If starwars did'nt come along crush everybody else then i would of been just as

happy with the Micronauts and the ultr-cool

    Shogun Warriors.

  • Actually, Transformers are a spin-off from Microman (the original Micronauts line.)

  • Transformers was born from the ashes of Microman and Diaclone.

  • @Noodhoog And Microman is the cyborg version of G.I.Joe!

  • Dammit! Its Micronauts not Mickuro-man. And BIOTRON not Robot-a-man! (kidding) this rocks.

  • I have a Biotron on the bookshelf next to force commander.

  • He's like a Diaclone pilot on steroids. Hehee.

  • I think I used to have a version of this toy called 'Biotron' or something like that. It was connected with the micronauts line. That brings back memories...

  • It is called Biotron and yes, I too had one as well. Such a fun toy.

  • Me too. I had Biotron. Great Micronauts toy.

  • how vintage-y!
