wow how awesome would it be to see giant transformers that were not combiners but noo this is japanese exclusive only dammit hasbro i want those thing and i want it now
The great wah-wah instrumental on this superb advert is 'Shut Up' by Eddie Warner. Taken from his 1971 'Progressive Percussions' LP on the French 'L'Illustration Musicale' (IM) library music label (music made to appear on TV & radio-for a fee). I have it on the cool & long deleted Jazzman LP 'Le Jazzbeat! 2'. It's astounding that a French library track appeared on a Japanese ad. Testament i guess to how far & wide these production discs went & how far ad men will look to seek out the right tune!
LOL I love the drill busting through the rock wall ^___^ If only I had my own giant robot to carry ME around in its chest or on its arm, to do as I command!!
This was actually the very first transforming robot toy! Everything that came since, from Diaclone to Transformers Animated, from Machine Robo to Power Rangers, recognizes this as their grandpappy.
OK, I knew nothing about Japanese toys, but when this came out, I BEGGED my parents to buy it for me. EFF the Barbie makeup head I'd wanted before I saw this, Me and my brother played with action figures, and this was the greatest one I'd EVER SEEN! It could be like a million things! And he was around the size of a Barbie as well! (Not that she'd marry a robot!) LOL, trying to play with all our toys at once was so ridiculous, but we did it somehow! (And YES, I got it on my BIRFDAYYYYY!!!)
I think I used to have a version of this toy called 'Biotron' or something like that. It was connected with the micronauts line. That brings back memories...
microman and diaclone the original transformers

I just bought a BIOTRON off Ebay.
Never had one as a kid.
How much are original BIOTRON'S worth?
Thinking about customising it.

BIOTRON! Greatest toy I ever had.
AltruisticPervert 3 years ago 2
We had some micronauts, but they didn't have bellbottoms like these ones do. They were cool, but had wrists that were always bent at awkward angles.
