  • Just so everyone Knows,, this is how it is. man you hit the nail on the head

  • this is amazing

  • LOL

  • lol fuckn djs try making real music

  • @superdogmanwithsauce Iseeutrollinbruh

  • @superdogmanwithsauce but on balance, people are fucking retarded...

  • Always request the management of any nightclub to provide you with a security guard staying close to the booth, to prevent unwelcomed persons to even come close, if you don`t like to be disturbed. And most of the people just don`t realise, how disturbing is that kind of behavior to the djing process

  • "Dawndiamonds", the youtube expert on DJing. Apparently I should leave my turntables at home. Well, I do. I use the ones at the venue. And get paid. And get props. What do you do, Dawndiamonds? Besides telling DJs how to do their job?

  • Big ups to all the DJs who get annoyed, but handle this problem like a true professional. It's part of the gig!!!! I Love a Good DJ!!.

  • still cant get over how precise this is. Big ups!

  • can you play rihanna....? fuckkkkk offfff

  • Pretty much...

  • Spot on, best thing to do is to tell them that you don't take requests, that they can't argue as much with. Then just say you have to mix ang ignore the shit out of her/him! Works pretty good, oh yeah! :D

  • need to add the part where they request a dubstep song, you know that one on the radio...

  • @Evaese bahgahahahahaaahahha

  • hahaha perfect

  • i played a chick every request she asked for at a lame ass christmas party...and at the end of the night...she threw a glass at me....

  • @icegraphic lmao, you're kidding!

  • @kkgtt i wish i was....that was the last straw..i play for friends and collect vinyl now

  • @icegraphic that bites...

  • I asked a girl once to give me a BJ if I played her song and she said "yes"

  • @patrout o.O

  • sooo true

  • get this all the time and it always the girls that think they are top shit doing this. Best request i had was at my mate's 21st playing the house music they wanted, his uncle or some relative comes up asks if i have AC/DC. Reply no just RnB and EDM music. He replies is that it and then proceeds to run his mouth of shit job i was doing when clearly people were dancing. it was a party for my mate not for him. Funny thing was a few drinks later the old guy was dancing around haha

  • So true, There are a lot of other annoying things to deal with while DJing a whole series would be rad.

  • im not even a DJ and i know this shit is 100% true! haha

  • tiger style!

  • LOL If you are a good dj, for the most part, you don't have someone telling you what to play. You know what to play.... Some dj's are oblivious to the crowd and play for themselves. If no one is dancing, I feel like it's open for requests. Just Saying......

  • @dawndiamonds Since you are one of these people that "feel like its open for requests", you should take your laptop and your 10 songs and DJ for you and your friends. Or next time you feel like making a request and annoying the DJ, just chill out or leave the venue for somewhere else more to your liking.

  • @phazemekaniks even though it may be a hastle. I come OUT to hear certain DJs because I actually like them, they know what to play. They are actually cool people and have a people personality and even if they did mind, they don't mind playing for people who support them on a weekly basis. AND maybe you should keep your turntables home. No one will bother you there. LOL

  • hahahahahaha! damn.. well said.

  • Suckaz always jump up to get beat down...so true....heard it on almost every party a spinned...some people so retarded that probably nothing will help

  • Story of my LIFE

  • @xxlowlow I dj raves as well and if the stage isnt raised there is still the odd girl asking for rap during an all vinyl speed garage set, or guy requesting any song a certian producer to show off to you how they "know the music" lol not nearly as bad as clubs (or weddings.. The worst culprit) thought, ill admit

  • That's why I am an underground/rave DJ. Requests don't exist there.

  • This is so on the money! That is just the way it happens from people 13 up to adults as well.

I can tell youve been a DJ a while and I feel your pain.

  • i always tell people "this is a show; I'm building up to everything you want to hear. you wouldn't demand michael jackson to play billie jean as soon as he started a concert, would you?"

  • If you don't think this is funny, you've never DJ'd. To people who aren't DJs, we fucking HATE when you come up to us and tell us what to play or request songs really adamantly.

Most club scenes in America are stupid and have ADD. A buddy of mine is a fantastic progressive house DJ in the area, and some dumbass comes up to him and goes "Are you just going to play the same song all night?"

  • Hahaha every time! Every fucking time!

"Have you got something people can sing to?"

  • these are all awesome.

  • brilliant!!! and i thought i was the only DJ that got this type of hassle from brain dead customers! ha ha!

best ever comments ive been asked

1> have you nothing better than this?

2 > well what have you got then?

3 > have you got that song,oh err, theres a bloke singing and a girl dancing in the video?

4 > have you got that song----oh er,,, it used to be number one

5 > can you put it on NEXT!!!! i'm going in a minute

  • @ceebeegeebee1 Lol, so true.

  • Oh jesus this is so accurate it gives me heartburn.

  • Ive been requested those exact songs many times... but thank god there is locks on the booths that I play in. Although one time i didnt talk to this girl while I was mixing in my next track and she threw her drink at my decks and mixer...

  • AAAgghh!! that comment bout "just being a dj and it ain't a real job!" I've had that before and it wrecks my head i just wanna bitch slap em!

  • Brilliant...great satire! It's good to laugh at ourselves sometimes. It keeps the ego in check and this is honest! lol

  • "all I need is a laptop" - that pisses me the fuck off so much haha

  • totally relate to this

  • I take that as a compliment coming from you! LOL

  • This is why i like clubs that the DJ booth is somewhere the customers cant access.

  • I had virtually this EXACT conversatoin tonight at my 90s RnB night.

  • Awesome! I would love to laugh, but this is a genuine situation I find myself in almost every DJ shift I do... kinda good to know that others share my pain... :)

  • TIGER STYLE

  • Tim, you should have at least cursed at the dumb bitch or made her fall, break her neck and bleed everywhere.

  • I ask them for their email address so i can send them the MP3, When they say they already have the MP3, i say problem sorted! haha. The only person who can say to you play this song next is the person paying your wages!

  • I'm a mobile guy and this happens all the time as well. When it gets too out of hand, I just tell the guests my clients gave me a strict playlist and I can only play those songs. Works 90% of the time. The other 10% have to go bug the clients to get me to play their song NOBODY wants to hear.

  • @djdice19 sooooooooooooooooo agreed i did a Dance for middle school last week and some girl asked me to play some ancient rock song (I had it) I was like "NO ONE WANTS TO LISTEN TO THAT" and there like "idc just play it" so i just say that ill get around to it and if they bug me again ill delete it from my library HAHHA

  • @generationstationdj uggh. i did a middle school dance a few years back. Never again

  • This happens to me EVERY NITE, without fail! freakin he lar e ous!!!

  • try having "her" but writing Dougie in bold letters across all your request sheets, was time for tiger style this weekend. This clip says what all of us working dj/programming professionals have been saying after the club closes for years.

  • THIS IS SOME REAL SHIT RIGHT HERE

  • The worst thing about this is i will see her this weekend.

  • NO REQUESTS

  • lol. i just take their request and never play the songs...heh

  • @owl007

    I'm not alone!

  • i swear i had a convo JUST like this at my gig last friday lol

  • LOL THIS IS SOOO TRUE!!!!!

  • If it's really 10 pm (which translates into maybe 9 around here) and you are admittedly playing b-sides from the 90's waiting for people to show up and 4 girls [who paid the cover and are also buying drinks at the establishment] will dance if you just play their freaking song, why not play it?

At this point you probably have no one on the dance floor.

Give them 15 seconds and if they don't get up to dance, then mix in something else. When they complain you can legitimately tell them to f off.

  • @erismo23 That's what a jukebox is for! A dj is the entertainment entity for the night. If Michael Jackson were alive, would he start his concert off with Billie Jean, or Thriller? Not comparing Miley Cyrus or Cali Swag District to MJ, but if there's a stage, there needs to be anticipation or a building stage in your set. Without those, you're just a chump with a mic or laptop who is just as replaceable as any push button DJ or Lip singing performer.

  • @djreddstylezz

Totally agree....assuming this is at a dance club where the DJ's make the venue. That is not the case for most DJ's.

The vast majority of DJ's are getting paid by bar owners to get them more customers and make more money at the door and at the bar, and are not famous headlining DJ's.

Does it sound like >in the video< he has a carefully crafted set that he is currently playing to create momentum into his real set, or does it sound like he's just playing whatever?

  • @erismo23 sounds like he's starting his 10 pm ramp up...as ya should, but not with yer "A" music, run the room, before the room runs you.

  • @djreddstylezz exactly, that's why anyone can be a DJ in their bedroom, or with an I pad, but a good DJ is the entertainment and knows how to run a room, same way you would do if you were MJ on stage.

  • Lol, I have had chicks come up and request Lady Gaga when I was playing it right then,(although I loath it) they are so smashed most of the time when they get in this mode... or when they say play a song I just played and they want the radio version and no remixes so they can sing along

  • Best ever man. spot on!!!

  • FUCK!!!! SO TRUE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • awesome

  • Nice one! Couldn't agree more :D

  • This isn't even funny...

  • @jvandub its not exactly suppose to be funny its the truth, this is what anoying as shit people do all the time to dj's

  • thanks for all the comments guys... maybe I'll make a whole series.. lol

  • A+ , but 2 things you needed to point out 1) requests are just that FUCKING requests.. make it and walk away... dont linger until its put on.. 2) dont request a song when the crowd is going crazy for whats on already like "bottoms up and top 40's " then seeing everyones dancing... and request a song like "empire state of mine - Jay-Z " which in a dance club 99% it will not make people shake there ass... or the one I got last week OMFG Aladdin theme song... Um... NO !!!! lol

  • So true! Awesome job!

  • hahahaha.... So true! DJing isnt a real job! hahahaha

  • its become blantantley obvious that you've escaped from the local chuckie cheese

  • It's like there was a hidden video camera in my booth!!! Leave me alone Princess!!

  • @djdynamite36 no kiddin right !? make your request and hit the dance floor you may or maynot hear it called a request for a reason sweetie ;) haha

  • So true.

  • This is great!!!

  • HAHA HAHAHA Love it!
