I am not the biggest Stryper fan out there but I did see them several times opening for other bands and they always put on a good show and sounded good. Part of that is talent and part of that is pretaped backing vocals. (just so you know I was paying attention). To call them screaming/squealing hairballs and use Dokken and the Bullet Boys as your examples doesn't help your case. Don was capt. nasal singer and the rest were clones.

this is the song that inspired me to get the stryper logo tattooed across my back. this is the song that lifts my spirits when i'm feeling down. and they are by far the most inspirational christian rock band out there still to this day.
They all had them specially painted. I know a guy that does special orders like that and is amazing. Reminds me a little of Eddie Van Halen's guitars but with different colors.
that's because the guy that paints their guitars also does Van Halen's...it's Wayne guitars...he doesn't just paint Oz's though...he makes the whole guitar
micheal sweet has no competition besides john sykes when it comes to being able to play AND sing on that level. he totally smokes oz with that lead and his rhythm seems better also (probly from fronting the band id say)
He is amazing. I like Geddy Lee too although he's bass and keyboards but amazing doing all that at once. I thought it was all studio until I saw them live. The guy from Cinderella is a good guitarist but don't think he can sing near as well.
