Running 9's all year in Super Stock is not cheap. Lot's of dumb comments on here. Running 9's competitively and JUST running 9's is a whole different world. Go price out a Super Stock motor!! Or a Super Comp motor that will last all season! You can build a junk box to run quick, but will not last. Or you can build a fast car to last and be competitive. Or oil down the track, LOL!

@DroidNoid it isnt meant to be sold as a street car, dosnt mean it cant be registered for the street. A guy where i live has one, it's tagged for the street. run's 9's in the 1/4. i also love how ford underrates their power from the factory, Ford says they make anywhere from 425hp - 475hp LOL.

because anyone now can go out and buy a vortech/procharger/turbo setup with a programmer and have a 9 second capable car. If anyone can build it then to me it is no longer fast. Hell you can buy 600+ cubic inch big blocks on pump gas that make 900hp. Maybe 9s are fast for you - they are not for me and I race a 9 second bracket car

@slow632 I agree, for that kind of money you can build way more... but you cant deny 99.9% of people will never feel a 9 second cars power... hell most people never will feel 10 sec power. Theres plenty of these running in the 8s now, for a car coming from the factory this way, you cant even hate on it. I just get annoyed of everyone wanting to make this a "street car." It's not and never was intended to be a street car.

well i know of an 8 second s10 for sale under 20k turn key. If you can't afford 20k then you cannot afford to drag race fast cars. Once again you prove to know very very little. Racing junk has plenty of cars that are affordable that will run in the 9s. Racing is not cheap but if you think it takes 100k just to own a 9 second car then my friend you need to read up more.

@slow632 Cadillac wants 63k for a CTS-V which is slower than a 2012 SC GT (36k). Chevy wants 111k for a ZR1 which is slower than a 2012 GT500 w/ 750 HP Factory SC Upgrade (56k).

It has an 8.5s NHRA Legal Roll Cage. The Kenne Bell is a 2.8L Supercharger and produces up to 800 whp, He said this "Ford Racing Blower is a 4.0L", Pay Attention, and probably produces a 1000+ hp. The 09 Cobra Jet can be tuned for 9.8s Passes, this Super Cobra Jet can probably run in the high 8s
