The man VOLUNTEERED for duty. That also means he agreed to obey by the rules the military dictates. Does Russia expect less from their soldiers? His song might be a general threat but he had already signed up, knew it, and decided to record it anyway. He can get a lawyer. He also might have recorded it for the publicity knowing it might get in the news.
I served eight years and when I was finished, I was finished. I made sure that they noted my injuries on my left side, not just for compensation, but also to prove that I am no longer combat effective, because they try to gank as many people into the Hellhole to fight the lost cause. stop loss is not a policy of forcing people back into the military or holding them after their time is up. stop loss is getting activated for your inactive time. when you sign a contract you sign for som uch active and so much inactive time. everyone knows there is a possibility of being called to serve during the inactive time. Excuse me but who said the draft wasn't practiced in some countries such as Israel and Russia. But the US has an all volunteer army meaning you sign a contract for the terms of your service, which includes a stop loss clause. People need to read any contract before they sign. Also with the risk there is great reward like the GI Bill that pays for all of a soliders university and living expenses, I'm sure this solider isn't rappping about that.

While I think the situation is BS, the soldier in question was in violation of the Uniform Code sections regarding political speech. When one is enlisted in the arms service, a soldier doesn't enjoy the same civil rights or speech rights conferred on civilians by our constitution. His punishment is excessive, nonetheless.

The man VOLUNTEERED for duty. That also means he agreed to obey by the rules the military dictates. Does Russia expect less from their soldiers? His song might be a general threat but he had already signed up, knew it, and decided to record it anyway. He can get a lawyer. He also might have recorded it for the publicity knowing it might get in the news.

I served eight years and when I was finished, I was finished. I made sure that they noted my injuries on my left side, not just for compensation, but also to prove that I am no longer combat effective, because they try to gank as many people into the Hellhole to fight the lost cause. Soldiers are not stupid! We knew this was bullshit from the start. The problem was that we had orders and it was that or go to jail, but military prison is worse than civilian. I did my time honorably, limping away.

Yeah but its for illegal undeclared wars, and anyone who ever joined the military knows the recruiters lie out their asses to get you to sign the contract. And they are holding people past their 8 year contracts as well as recalling people back to active duty from being completely out with the 8 years completed.

A contract is a contract. Is a contract politically correct? When its your time to get out, adios. Who did this dude threaten anyway? Why is this country worth fighting for, at least in this dudes mind, when the country supposedly has freedom of speech? What gives here? Its not as this country is fighting for its survival, its not fighting on its own territory nor is there any danger that this would be the case.

Please don't mention 9-11. Certain personel being transfered there days before, thermite explosives, fighter jets minutes away from Pentagon not being deployed while supposed terror "jet" was still many more minutes away. Fighter jets normally in area to protect N.Y. were at training exercises far away. No human body parts found in PA crash. Certain records where being kept at building 7, which collapsed and which was not "hit" I mean controlled demolition.

I was stop losesed in Desert storm. Ended up doing seven years on a four year. We do sign away our civilian rights when we raise our right hand to serve in the military. I for one am proud of my service but I am now enjoying my freedoms as a civilian. P.S. We are a republic not a democracy read your history. Democracy is the trail to socialism.

Democracy leads to socialism because people tend to vote themselves benefits that the government promises, but cannot deliver, socialism leads to fascism (see late 30's germany) as the government beauracracy increases, to support its increases.
