Rattlerjake1 - Thanks for defending the country and supporting its freedoms. The Jubilee House is a great cause and deserving of support. Efforts like this raise the profile of our veterans, no matter their sex. It helps to expose the need and gather support for resources such as the Joining Forces initiative and the Fayetteville VA Services (fayettevillenc.va.gov/service­s/homeless.asp) Hopefully this can be a springboard for further action for all homeless veterans nationwide.

This makeover should have never been approved. This is an example of blatant discrimination against the male veterans in this city, state, and country. If there had even been a suggestion of doing this for a facility for male veterans only, there would have been protests and never got built. As a male veteran it proves to me that our city, state, and federal leaders as well as many citizens of this city are fine to discriminate when it means they will get their minute of 'fame'.
