Also for those who don't understand there are very strict hygiene rules where visitors and staff had to keep a certain distance from the patient, and sitting right next to the patient isn't exactly adhering to rules which are put in place to reduce health risks. Why do the health workers all sit around applauding the very people that are going to cut their wages, livelyhood and work conditions? The government came up with billions to bail out the greedy bankers and put the country in this state to protect the banks. Why do they not do the same to protect the livelyhoods of of key services?

He supports his patients. The GMC guidelines define a doctor's first duty of care as being to the patient and to noone else, including visiting 'dignitaries'. Medical students have that central moral principle beaten into them from the very moment they start clinical training.

@schmulus It's a hospital not a studio, you can't just come walking in taking pictures and pretend to care for the patients there, that's not the idea of a hospital. The doctor is there to look after the patients, not weave around people trying to get pictures or standing around talking. He has a job to do, and why should he have to compramise the work he can get done in one day due to some guy trying to better his public image?
