OH NO! Ed Shultz called himself an objective reporter. Ed! Remember you are a nothing, a zero, zilch! This according to the very liberal New Yorker Magazine. You are just a flame thrower.
Between the radical right & radical left, (YOU) the left wins in the violence, rape and drug department. The right just walks away with their guns and religion.
@crazynsober2day Yes, I understand he is a commentator but in this instance he was acting as a reporter and reporting news objectively. And perhaps other commentators - especially those on Fox News - will do the same and just provide facts. Because in the end, FACTS will hurt the conservative nut jobs like Santorum, not the progressives.
@sallyhampton How dare you call The Fat Man Schultz a reporter. You just bitch slapped all legitimate journalist. This guy has to be on the Democrat Party payroll.
Schultz acts like a nut job on air for how many years ? And now he wants to act legitimate ? LOL The sooner the Liberal Nut jobs distance themselves from these types of radical talking head nut jobs, they will lose more and more support !
so now, he has the power to fundamentally influence the direction of things. Now it is up to individuals to decide whether he is going about it in the right way. I would argue that by fighting for regulation, consumer protection, and ensuring fair competition he is countering the damage of 30 years of deregulation and a general lack of safeguards. You are free to disagree with me but please do it with facts and reasons rather than just blindly latching onto talking points and getting angry.
and yes, obama did "inherit" this economy. Everyone generalizes "republicans" and "democrats" as if they are all one entity that acts in unison. There are good/bad individuals on both sides, but they are individuals not one homogeneous group. Even if the democrats totally f*cked up the economy by themselves, which they didn't (it was a combined effort), Obama, the individual, inherited a poor economy when he was given presidential power. Before he was just one senator, now he is *the* president
@2010GOP, your fanaticism is part of the problem. Both sides caused this problem, republicans and democrats. This crisis was the result of 30 years of deregulation and a general lack of transparency both in government and the private financial sector. Both sides caused this and its been a long time in the making. You're stupid comments about the democrats controlling the senate from 2007-2011 shows that you don't understand why this happened.
I am so glad you did this video Ed because I need to teel you that I can't even stomach watching your show anymore. You are such an apologist and cheeleader for Obama it is sickening. That Laura Engram issue must have scared the shit out of you and you do exactly what your masters tell you now.
I am not sure if Ed Shits acts like and reminds me of Ernst Röhm or John Wayne Gacy without his clown suit.
Either way he gets more attention than he is worth. He is another one of those so called news talking heads who hasn't grown up and is still playing college journalism.
Hitler was good with a crowd, too. I thinks it's ridiculous to compliment someone on the way they say things and that they look you in the eye when they say them, when the CONTENT of what he says is b%#*%&*t crazy. This video only makes it worse.
Way to attack me as I was also posted my support for ron paul. But like I said, Google it and see that he has been making advancements especially in civil liberties. The biggest problem he had was that he inherited an economy that had just nearly collapsed, that doesn't reverse itself so quickly.
@gtotheb1: I'm so fk'ing sick of hearing about the economy Obama "inherited".
DEMOCRATS controlled the House & Senate, Jan 2007 - Jan 2011
DEMOCRATS rejected tighter accounting oversight of Fannie/Freddie
DEMOCRATS' social-justice policies, particularly in housing; they wanted anyone with a pulse to qualify for a loan, calling Republicans "racist" for opposing this initiative.
Oh ~ and did I mention ~ OBAMA was a member of the Senate during the above.
@Marakulous43: That Obama himself helped create by working along-side ACORN, suing banks, demanding easier loans be created. And where is the legislation that "Senator Obama" authored or even co-sponsored to bring more oversight to Fannie/Fannie or any other financial oversight? For shit's sake, he certainly had time to write books about himself.
@2010GOP Obama has NEVER had a majority because the Republicans wouldn't allow it. They filibustered every progressive bill in the Senate from day 1. They also have control of the house so it is myth that Obama ever had the opportunity to get anything done when faced with opposition from those whose only interest is to hurt Obama even if hurts the country.
@2010GOP Oh, LMAO to you who obviously watches too much Fox News. Having a filibuster proof Senate majority is only possible with 60 votes but the 60th vote (Al Franken) was locked up for months in recounts and not sworn in until July 8, 2009. This was the first time Democrats had a filibuster proof majority since 1958. However, 6 weeks later, Ted Kennedy passed away. So, Obama barely had time to do one thing - pass the healthcare reform bill. After Scott Brown was sworn in, ALL OBSTRUCTION.
@sallyhampton Gee, what's keeping the Senate from having a Balance Budget (900 days without one) The Healthcare (insurance reg bill) was passed in the middle of the night, behind closed doors. Great job Senate NOT.
@wsoxman Gee, I guess you missed the part where I explained that after Scott Brown was sworn in (Dems had only 6 weeks of a super majority starting July 8 2009) that the Republicans have blocked just about everything including a tax cut for the middle class. As far as the healthcare bill goes, it's already helped a lot of people - just didn't go far enough because it was a bill crafted by Republicans! We need Medicare for All.
I am leaning toward supporting Obama but I think ron Paul might be a good candidate. The rationale behind that is that he wants to cut spending, which we need, but he's also a veteran and a doctor so he understands how different groups are affected by cuts. He's also radical enough that maybe a few changes might actually happen haha
@gtotheb1 Ron Paul supports Deregulatory policies that would only give more FREEDOM and control to large corporations to take advantage of consumers, workers, to pollute, etc. We need to RE regulate the banking industry, wall street and take the profit out of health care financing/insurance. I am sticking with Obama and hope to see him with a TRUE majority (filibuster proof Senate) so he can sign some progressive legislation. We need to try some progressive policies for a change.
@gtotheb1 PS - check out Physicians For A National Health Plan - pnhp dot org. These are doctors that understand the healthcare issue and how it effects the overall economy. Improved Medicare for All would SAVE us about 500 BILLION a year and cover everyone with BETTER, more reliable coverage and choice of any doctor. Read about it in their FAQ section. There was a bill authored by Dennis Kucinich but the insurance industry has lobbied against it.
We been trying to tell you idealouges on the left and right, that the lame stream media portrays itself as fair and impartial delieverers of "news", but they are the 1 percent, the defenders and protectors of the status quo... working hand and hand to shape the election for you. As Ron Paul gains momentum, they, including this commentor, will shill for other establishment war-mongeting civil-liberty denying asshats like Santorum, who they are trying to use to thwart Ron Paul. Aint gonna work.
Obama does have many accomplishments that are just a Google search away. However, your ignorance is evidence of the fact that they haven't been covered enough
@gtotheb1 - What accomplishments ? I am a military veteran, and I have been chronically unemployed since the crash of 2008. Bush-Obama as far as I am concerned are both asshats, establishment puppets, war-mongers, civil liberty oppressors. What on earth can you cite as an accomplishment ? The unemployment rate ? Solyndra ? Fast and Furious ? Obama Care ? Don't Ask, Don't tell ? - Please whoever you are, most of us are way past the republican-democrat bullshit. Check out Ron Paul 2012.
Don't worry, Ed, somehow common sense became lost in the translation with a few people, but most of us understood what you were doing. No one should need to apologize for telling it like it is, and I am glad you cleared that up for the few who didn’t get it.
@loper11p34 Yes, Hitler was an extremely impressive politician. In fact, he was one of the most skilled politicians in history. Everyone agrees on that. Being an impressive politician is not all it takes to be a good president, but it is an important element. Conservatives admit Obama is a skilled politician and Ed was saying the same about Santorum. That doesn't mean that he supports Santorum.
It really isn't that hard to understand, just use your head a little.
I see what he's doing...It's Ed trying to get Santorm in the spot, so he can do him v Obama on a debate so he can whip Bill' o's Ass I see where he's going and i like it!
I appreciate Ed connecting with us but my issue with reporting is the lack of Obama and DNC reporting. It may not be intentional but I'm not seeing reporting of the President's accomplishments. You can google a list of 244 accomplishments BEFORE his recent recess appointments. His victories are seemingly a footnote on cable news stations, especially with the 24/7 coverage of GOP candidates. Hopefully other political news will be equally covered.
@SickofHypocrites Reporting of the President's accomplishments? That's hilarious. What are you hoping that they report on? His vacations? Perhaps his best round of golf? How about closing Gitmo? How about the fact that he just realized we don't actually have 57 states? Great post, thanks for the laugh.
@SickofHypocrites Well maybe they would report on the President's accomplishments if he had any. lol
By the way, we are in the middle of the GOP primary, so the GOP candidates are in the spot light. Once we get into the general election then that is when the real campaign starts. GOP v. Obama
I love your work on The Ed Show. Obama has my support too - but, like you, I think he could've done more. I'm not sure why he caved on so many important issues. Thanks for your work!!
It's good to have an honest reporting instead of always being slanted...some of us forget that reporting should be unbiased....Thanks for your honesty!
