  • Very very nice. Grazie.

  • @silvanusslaughter

    Thanks a lot ;-)

  • I discovered the music book, "guitar solos from Italy" in my cupboard recently which include some of the lute pieces you play (for guitar - tuning the 3rd string to F#). It has been so helpful to be able to watch you play them on the lute. I had a go at Recercar VI and played along with you but found I had to put my capo on bar 3 to sound the same as you. Thank you so much for your great videos.

  • Thanks a lot. You don't have to put a capo if ou're playing solo. In the XVIth century, lute had different pitches (top string in D,E, G, A or even high D were common)

  • You've mastered painting and music? A true Renaissance man you are! Thanks for both !

  • Thanks ;-)

  • Hi again,

Thank you! I know very few pieces by Da Crema and it's a very long time since I heard him so it was very nice to re'remember him :-)

    Thanks!

  • I will post some more soon (I have to work on it, not ready yet)

    Nice music anyway/

    Amicalement

  • Thank you for coming Aisha ;-)

    Hope you are fine !

    All the best

  • Beautiful. I love Your music! And Your lute, of course :)

  • Thanks ;-)

    Val

  • Lovely playing and I like your paintings too. What is the story behind this balloon?

  • Thanks !

No special stories, just a feeling for flight and freedom, perhaps... Anyway very anachronic with the music... ;-)

    Val

  • Very nice. Short and sweet. :)

  • Thank you Wilfried ;-)

    Val

  • Glad to see a new lute video. I agree with everyone also, I like your painting! You have a very unique style :)

  • Thanks a lot.

My painting style is inspired by Henry Rousseau, "le Douanier". He was the greatest naïve painter in France, and Picasso own two of his paintings.

    Val ;-)

  • Twice thanks ;-)

    Val

  • Very nice to hear, Val! And the painting is quite nice, too ;)

  • Thanks again Richard, this is the first (I hope) of a serie... ;-)

    Regards

  • Very nice, this is a difficult piece to pull off cleanly and your polyphonic lines are very clear

  • Thanks a lot Danny, Da Crema music is very interesting, as Da Milano, in my opinion.

    Val ;-)

  • Cher Val,

Bravo !

    Bien amicalement, Rosy.

  • Merci beaucoup Rosy ;-)

    Val

  • A really calming piece to listen to, and a nice painting in the background. Did you paint it?

    - Luc

  • Thanks ;-)

    Yes I did the paintings.
