  • You`re right. But the glass you can see is only a short pane above the used ticket box. The cab door had no glass, as on the cab door was the ticket machine and Cambist change machine ( Green Line ). This vehicle is a non facelift machine, and is as you would have gone to school on. The "facelift" ones were for Green Line use. They all had the horizontal bar on the nearside screen.

  • That must be a conductor RF because i went to school every day on the 216 from kingston bus station to Asford via hampton-court and Sunbury every day and remember i could talk to the driver [no glass-window]and there was no hand-pole by the wind-screen [i have a good memory] it was from 1969 to 71
