I have a "appearance" gear spec for GS fans (6k), and my actual spec that I use to heal which is fine tuned with correct stats. Guess what? People ask, "You said you're 6k, but it's showing 5.9k. Lying?" That's how stupid GS is, and yes, why too many PUGs fail. RLs got their 5.8K GS/WHGS 2800 raid, but they still fail on 5/12 ICC with trash geared toons. :rolleyes:
I would like to see it banned. I was told my gs was too low and was told I couldn't do ICC, But when I opened up raid browser it said I was geared enough for it. That violated an ingame mechanic, which is wrong. I also had someone try to kick me from a dungeon cause my gs was low. Then he was laughed at and kicked himself for being an idiot.

Um yea GS is meant to be a tool used to give a quick overview of a persons gear level if you dont like GS what else are you going to do. Ask the player when your pugging if hes good or not? Gonna armory every person who you invite into a pug? GS just allows you to see a persons current gear level and currently is the only tool of judging a players level of gear, there is no tool and never will there be one to judge skill so stop QQ'ing and think of something better if u have a problem.

Very nice vid :) I lol'd. I completely agree with how stupid GS is. That addon is the most retarded thing ever made. Judging a character based on their item level is just ignorant. I can understand why some people would use GS for raids (MOAR EZ LEWTS) but for heroics? Common people. Those places were MADE for people to gear up on. My fav part about this vid was the trinkets. Darkmoon Card: Greatness is without a doubt better then most 232/245 trinkets. GS needs to DIE a horrible fiery death!

Like myself, I use GS to judge myself. If I see someone of my class with a slightly higher gearscore than myself, I'll /ins him *(Granted, when it works)* and see what items hes using, that I'm not.
And given the new patch, I don't think too many people are going to be using gear thats not specific to their class.
