To find them, just type a search for" Van Halen - Looney Tunes & Merry Melodies". This amateur multi CD has all of the unreleased tracks from back then, well most of them. Cheers
Dude, this is awesome! How do I find these recordings in downloadable format?
I remember being at their show in 81' in Memphis & I grabbed the fur on Dave's boot, another girl grabbed on to his boot too & he kicked her in the face trying to get his foot back & almost fell over. I'm sure Dave had a hell of a kick now knowing that he was into karate. We didn't have all that intel back then.
I first heard this on a bootleg CD I got from a store in town. I think it was around 96.
It included "Babe don`t leave me alone" "Voodoo Queen" and "big trouble" there`s a lot more classic VH that never made it to a album. All Van Halen would have to do to rule the world again is dig out these old gems, put some polish on them and they would have a classic album. It would completely kick the charts ass and piss on everything else out there. Bring back Mike Anthony also would help greatly.
a couple of pics show eddies frankenstein(red/black/white) with a white humbucker at the bridge at those pics are kinda rare but i wonder where he got that from and also i think later he would put that humbucker in his carved mess snake guitar NICE POST BRO!!
This is one tune that really gets you. The AVH intro w/the jazz highhat&snare. Even w/the RD chorus. Get the show on the road...like over 30 years didn't cut it. EVH has more CA style gems but is waiting to sign them over to WVH obviously for future use...or not, who knows with VH anymore. If WVH releases great songs over the next 10 years, chances are you know who most likely wrote them. But that's OK as long as there is a break from the crap that is released today.

The opening drum bit is "Radar Love" inspired. Do you hear it music fans?
VH in the days with Roth, delivered the goods time and time again, with every new album.

It was the shit, from what I've heard. I grew up first in Glendale, then Pasadena, CA which is their hometown. They always had a heavy show.
