One of the things I like most about the late '20's Sam Lanin records is Arthur Schutt's piano breaks and when he fills in behind the singers like Scrappy as he does on this one. Thanks for posting this!
Great record. I loved that sheet music with Joe E. Brown in the forefront. I don't know who had the longer piercing howl. Joe E. or Jerry Colona. To be sure- I love that 20s music. It's all gold thats for sure. Gary
Bob, this is just super FANTASTIC!!! Most all of My favorit records are on these A.R.C. records, Oriole, Perfect, BANNER, Regal, Homestead and others.
@seerider45 I wish I had time to do that. I have hundreds of tracks restored and piles of records to record. Each one seems so fresh and new to me and a pleasure to listen to. I have several hobbies that consume my time, this one and my passion for fitness. I am always in a state of flux. I have had it suggested and am thinking about combining these two together. Thank you for watching
love all of these tunes. scrappy sounds so good on "...roses..." ; i have olsen's version, but i really like this one better. jolson's version is fun as well. the dorsey's early recordings are always very good. great tunes and a big thank you for posting them. makes saturday night much more fun. take care.
@bill3murr I love Sam Lanin's orchestra and the first song is a favorite of mine. Always a pleasure to share with you Ron. It rained here today, finally and it only got to 90.

Lanin is always so uniquely peppy and Scrappy's vocals are exquisite.
