the firefly is cajun. an ethnic group in and around new orleans that is made of mxed bloods usually Acadian french, Creole, Chocktaw Indian, and Some african. THats how the cajun accent sounds. THe princess in realit, DUe to the insane amount of racial mixing in New orleans through out hundered of years, Is probably not african american, But a Creole, WHich is a race that was created FRom Carribean, african, french, and spanish decent. Look up creole on wiki youll learn alot. Comin form a creole

SO really there is barely any true "black" or "white" people in New Orleans or southern louisianna. Unless they moved there from the north or west or east. Looking at me i bet you could not tell what race i belong to. Many people think that the firefly is black but im somewhat of an expert when identfying new orleans accents. he is cajun though, not fully black . cajun is a multiracial ethnic group in louisianna, and mostly their skin appears to be whit. however the are mixed with indian creole spanish and sometimes african. look it up its an interesting topic.

cheer up the firefly is cajun, a multiracial ethnic group from luoisianna. the gorl is probly not black but creole who have ancestors from africa spain carribean sea, and france. cajuns are NOT black but thats exactly how they sound and thats exactly how there mannerisms are. they do act alot like steryotypical "black people" but they are not primarily form africa but they are a race of their own. I have a paw paw ( grandfather) who is cajun, thats how he sounded

Hey Sakiimi, do you know anything about this movie? If so, do you know anything about the Prince's nationality? I've asked lots of people, and none of them seem to be able to give the same answer. I know he's from a fictional country called Maldonia, but where is that supposed to be?

Thus far I've heard he's European, Middle Eastern, Indian, and South American. Now I'll buy the first three, but nothing about him seems South American at all. Any ideas?

Well, there would have been a lot, and I mean A LOT of controversy if Disney had kept the original plot of her being a chamber maid. Remember, Cindy? That movie is actually looked somewhat down upon now in society because of Cinderella being a chamber maid. Why now, because back then women were seen exactly true to Cinderella's first scene approach. If a second chamber maid, that is black, not to mention(not racist here, making a point) would have a lot of fingers being pointed at Disney.

Being an African American from New Orleans, there isn't anything really bad about Princess Tiana...like most blacks in N.O. that I've seen, including myself, have wide hips and butt. Her lips are beautiful. She's CAJUN! Not northern. Seasoned home-cooked MEALS! You can't expect her to be slender.

This is the first time I've seen this, and my first reaction is to question why a princess is speaking with a southern accent. My second reaction is to remember that the real story ended with the princess getting so upset at the frog that she throws the frog against the wall of her bedroom as hard as she could, and that is what turned him into a prince.
