Steve Kaufmann's Chinese sucks! He tries to pass himself off as fluent, but he's really somewhere between beginner and intermediate; and this is his best second language. It wouldn't be so bad, but he is trying to sell a stupid language learning system to people so they can learn to speak as poorly as he does.

In other words, he's just a con man.

And his Spanish is great too! One can not tell that he is a Canadian of English mother tongue.

I have only observed that kind perfect mimetic in an American girl who lived in Mexico for 2 years, who is also an Esperanto speaker. The girl developed a perfect pronunciation of her own, an Spanish sided to the West Mexican way but not exactly. She speaks Esperanto in the same way as her Spanish and Esperantists around the world are amazed , they can not tell where she is from.

Steve's spoken Mandarin is sometimes a bit unclear, like he is slurring words into one another. But on the whole it's pretty decent, and he is brave to appear on live Taiwanese TV!

interview quality is not so brilliant but it s not an issue, whatever, i just want to say that i congratulate steve kaufmann because he learnt such an amount of language fluently. this is an determination which should be clapped standing.

Thats a shit interviewer. long pause between questions, no response to the answers like he's not listening, lots of body movement.
