@ImpDragonRecord I'm not critiquing the artists. I'm critiquing the art or, in this case, the lack thereof. It's 1 thing for Nappy Roots, Goodie MOB or Juvie to tell a narrative of Black life in the South. It's a life that's stressed not only by economic blight & constant denial of resources, it's strained by intense, overt racism. That's part of their modal expression. But THIS piece makes no attempt to be artful or bring any new element to the larger conversation. This is anger, ego & drivel.

@ImpDragonRecord In America, Black music descends from the Blues. And being "Southern" means you're all the more in touch with that tradition. Ultimately all music is folk based. This particular piece of music, if we can call it music, has NO folk connection to its people or the heritage that created it. In fact, there is "... no love fgor these niggaz in the streets..."

THAT'S why it's whack. No. Don't tell me to stop watching. Have the substance of conviction to present & be critiqued.
