absolutely, i'm a leafs fan and even i admit i think its stupid they're only 9 pts out of a playoffs spot when they don't deserve it. this team on the other hand was amazing and this was an exciting game, one of the best in recent memory. people like more goals, but if u can't appreciate good defense, ur not a true hockey fan. goals are only good once in a while.

Goals are only good "once in a while"? You need to score more often than that if you want to win hockey games. Defense does win championships of course, but you still need a good offense as well to fully support it.

sorry, perhaps u misunderstoof my statement. of course you score to win games, u can't rely solely on defense. just look at the flames, they can't win because they're only threat is iginla and they play a defensive style. i meant high scoring games during a season are only exciting once in a while, they get boring if they always happen. and this whole 3 point games thing is annoying, even as a leafs fan. they lose alot yet we just say, "at least they got a point".

I've been to every Leaf vs. Senator game in Ottawa for the past 10 years with the exception of one regular season game. This has to be the most intense, exciting game between the two that I have seen. My next favorite would have been the flu game where Toronto stormed back to win it in OT when Nolan scored in the final minute or so.

I have to say we didn't have a team for 60+ years. When we DID get our team back it was an expansion team which don't start off too good.

it was awesome because that year in the regular season ottawa beat us in all 5 games, and the leafs slumped and finished 7th (compared to 2nd for ottawa)...so what do the leafs do? sweep em in the first round, and hold them to only 3 goals...some of my favourite leafs memories ever...GO LEAFS GO!
