@freedom44ify Yes Gadaffi did bring much good to Libya, newly-wed couples received US 50,000 to get them started and to buy an anaprtment etc. Before Gadaffi took power the literacy rate was 25%, just before the intervention it was 83%. Though he did cause alot of suffering to his people too.

He never killed his people for 42 years, if you take the time to listen to his speech at the UN you would understand what the man stood for. He was not a dictator because he gave his power over to the Libyan people, so that they could run their own country. He was a freedom fighter, who was always for oppressed people. Mandela gave him an award for the best freedom fighter of our time.
