It's such a shame that this song carries a negative tone for Ray. This is the song that brought my now fiancee and I together. The first time I heard it I emailed her the lyrics and told her this is exactly how I felt and our wedding is in 90 days. Ray is a HUGE part of our relationship.

The way it was recorded is WAAAAAY better than the way it was written. God, I love the way it was recorded. This version does nothing for me. The produced version moves me and touches my soul. This version is average. It dosn't have that soul power. I am SO glad you decided to bend.

That's an amazing example of versatility. Crap... were it not for the lyrics, I completely wouldn't recognize the song! Both versions are awesome though. The album version has a sweet Marvin Gaye sorta vibe about it.

I am also a new Ray fan from Australia. I have bought all three albums in the last two weeks, and love every minute of what I hear. One of the best voices I have ever heard. I am kind of disappointed that I didn't hear of him before. Aussie radio and other media gave us rubbish like Nikkelback and Eminem instead. Ah well, I have heard it now, and love it forever. Love this version of this brilliant song.
