I love the production on this album - droning warble, clear drums and grim vocals.
I'm no conosseur but surely rather than bitch about the production like it's going to change anything, it's better to just shut up and let everyone have their own opinion.

Well the production is quite poor compared to other Morbid Angel albums like Domination, and thank you my headphones are fine. There's a serious lack of bass...
And you can't deny Trey's riffs have a distinct "eastern" influence, and that influence doesn't seem out of place with the Middle Eastern mythological themes he often writes about.
I just think this song is quite close to being a black metal song, that's all.

i really dig the guitars on heretic and think the way trey recorded all the single note stuff in stereo is GENIUS---one side tube, other side solid state------you are correct the bass is absent altogether----but the songs speak to me----touche!
