its this performance that should make people want to put The Who among the likes of led zeppelin and other bands more often because we often forget that they were a hard rock band and one of the most popular in the 70's in fact they pretty much fucking invented it in 1969 when they played woodstock and other places its sad they don't get the recognition they deserve because in my opinion they are the greatest rock band that ever lived and please Note: I'm not trying to start an argument

@999manman pete is and was very inconsistent w/his lead playing..he sort tried to play by the seat of his pants...sometimes it worked other times it was horrendous...i never understood y he never worked on his lead playing..he's been friends w/jimmy page, eric clapton, joe walsh and dave gilmour. They could have taught him a thing or two...lol

Pete, though not a proficient lead guitarist, is one of the best rhythm guitar players in history. Nobody has ever been able o windmill like Pete and actually hit the guitar strings. Try it sometime. Your inclination will be to not hit the strings for fear of slicing off your fingers....
