awesome band, chuck is pure genius. ive been forcing my band to listen to death and we have been writing much better songs because of it. i just know chuck is shredding away somewhere in the afterlife.may his music be a source of inspiration for generations to come
I tried starting a death metal band with a group of kids (who claimed to be huge death metal fans), and they didn't even know who Death was! I showed them Death and they just thought it was "whatever" -_-
@PraiseofDeath92 I cant imagine anyone being a Death Metal fan...and not be a fan of Death...the God father of Death Metal. if it wasnt for Death , there wouldnt be a Rich Genre like Death metal now. Thrash and Speed got all the speed...Death added technique and Progression...

Right on, keep the metal faith alive. this is some of the greatest music ever, ur band needs 2 become familiar wit it and feed off it . Which will only making u dudes better. Beast of Luck from the Goblin Shark
When ya consider that chuck was born in 1967 and how young he was when he wrote and recorded this stuff it just goes to show how good he was The album human which was recorded over 20 yrs ago when chuck was just 21 shows how amazing he was To be taken from us at such a young age leaves u wondering how much great songwriting and music he had left for us.The day he died is & will be the biggest loss to the death metal genre. RIP chuck U will never be forgotten. In Death you shall live forever \m/

Wow, I can't help but move to this when I watch it. I don't care what anyone says, or what their opinion is, the fact is that Death are the greatest metal band that has ever and probably will ever exist. Anyone whos opinion counters that is a/an (insert intelligence-crippling insult here). =P
I dont have a favourate Death song, I just think that every song from Human all the way to Sound of perseverance is awsome because one day you get into one death song or album then the next day or week later you find yourself really getting into another Death song or album. I think Death overall is just good quality music & always will be.
@jimilufnin now now u failed to mention the best desth album of them all spiritual healing.that cd fuckin rocked.i remember listening to it over and over.in my younger days used to do alot of acid and next to the old classic pink floyd i always had to give spiritual a spin or two.
same heere, im also 14 and im into deah and heavy metal, when i heard this band for the first time i couldnt get enough of them and eventualy heavy metal was all i cared about, HEAVY METAL WILL NEVER DIE
to bad i wasnt around to see them play live but atleast i can still get there cds
i was 14 too when I started listening to death, now I play some of their songs in guitar Ill always say "thank you" to the few people that brought me into metal, long life to Death, RIP Chuck
Death is a legend. Death is a reference. Symbolic is probably the best metal album i've ever heard. Symbolic, Empty Words, Crystal Mountain. I mean ... these songs are a lesson. Like I said in a comment on another video : I might be an electro music composer, i still got goose pumps when i listen to Death. I'm a drummer too, and Gene Hoglan was a god.
The cool thing about Chuck is that he was kind of a lone wolf: he sat in his garage figuring out scales, modes and lots of crazy shit - almost like reinventing it. He had no teachers, so he learnt everything by ear...
When i hear the art of Chuck Schuldiner my stomach gets fired! He had done things that no usual man can do!He was generous and very friendly to other people! Some things you want to see, are leaving this fucking world!(I wanted to see Chuck)He was something extraordinary, his band members, too, were of this kind of metal, yes! When i see something from death I am glad that i comment to these!Peace to you Chuck wherever you are now!I said this before and i say it again!
chuck was a great man, he was all for anti violence and all,you can tell he is shy because of the way he acts on stage he doesnt headbang or nothin, but dont get me wrong he is a hell of a guitarist, and i would have killed to met him,R.I.P, chuck isint dead HE IS DEATH!!!
"I close my eyes and sink within myself, releave the gift of precious memories, in need of a fix called innocence.... Things that may not seem important now, but maybe tomorrow" RIP Chuck
it's better the way it happened, that way the band remains as a legend and its music is easier to fin and to spread worldwide!! chuck was a good person but maybe something worse would've happened if he remained alive, like a sellout:s
id just like to ask, because i havent heard much of this band but imstarting to like what ive heard from them :D. Anyway id just like to ask why has his singing style changed because i saw lack of comprehension and now this. I was just asking if there was a reason for this.
His singing isnt the only thing that changed. His style of playing changes in every album.Listen to "Scream Bloody Gore" and "Leprosy". They have that "death" vocals. While "Spiritual Healing" has this lower growl."Individual Thought Patterns" has this more medium-ish growl, but it very melodic with the style they play in that album."Symbolic" is more face paced,so there singing has to at least match there playing. And "The Sound of Perserverance" is pretty much there last album with that "voice".
Had this band bin now... they are fkin multi millionaires... they are too early to show up on death metal scene... Chuck RIP... shit happens to veterans... guys!!! arent you feelin a lil shadow left for this band in the name of OPETH... coz tuning sounds simlr..
he died bc he didnt have 70 lousy fucken thousand dollars....how stupid...bands got 2gether and played a one/couple of show/s to come up with money to keep him and they failed? how stupid..couldnt they loan him the FUCKIN MONEY AND THEN HE PAYS THEM BACK? THEY ARE GREEDY...HE IS GONE FOREVER FOR A LOUSY SUM OF MONEY. FUCK THAT STUPID ASS MOTHERFUCKEN SHIT..
I was gonna try and say something deep and meaningful, but fuck it ill just say Thank you Chuck Schuldiner for the amaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaazing music U blessed me with
