@227060 You're right, everytime the new shows are worse and worse, I haven't watch a whole show since armada, which was not as I expected. After BW every show was for kids, I wish they remake G1 with a central plot like BW rather than making random episodes with no ultimate goal at all, and of course with real alt modes and no shitty robot modes like the ones seen in the live action movies

I think The Death of the Starscream had been a big impact as the nosedive of the Popularity of the TF G1. I belive he'll back after blowing up in Beastwars on faith.

Devastator is my favorite transformer/combiner of all time. In fact, he single handedly made me a big fan of the transformers, solely because of him I watched the transformers religiously every week. He is definitely the first & most famous combiner of all time. My second favorite is Bruticus then Omega Supreme.
how has he disrespected them? I grew up with G1 and I reconize the G1 greatness in his movie, so what if he wanted to have mass/weight factor into their size. Humans get more screen time in this movie than Cybertronians. The latter are reduced to either bothersome pets or public safety hazards, put down by humans whenever convenient.
Giving the transformers all the screen-time would have looked like he was trying too hard. Sometimes less is more, and we do see them for the majority of the movie. Not sure why you are so riled up.
Saw the movie, and it was fine. Optimus had a trailer, Peter Cullen provided the voice acting, the action was great and the transformers were cool. Considering its based of an old cartoon, I think it was a very well-executed film.
in 20+ years, Transformers did more than just the damn movie. Movie footage was WAY overused and very little of everything else. (Can understand SL as Energon propably wasn't out then)

G1 is the purest and best of ALL the series. Though I liked the idea of beast wars and even the comics from dreamwave. I dont like to consider this anime honestly though.
In all fairness beast wars did not suck... but came real close to it. I guess that on certain shows it comes to a point that nothing they come out with can suck, just like star wars nothing they can come out will suck because its star wars period, they paid their dues. Put another way if beast wars had come out before G1, there would not have been a G1, so thank god G1 was first. :)

um PJ the Three seasons and movie were anime, and btw Transformers are originally Japanese, they were once microman toylines, also if it weren't for Beast Wars then Transformers would not still be loved by kids today as we did in the 80's, go ahead and say beast wars - Beast Machines - R.I.D - Armada - Energon & Cybertron suck but they are directed at the same target audience the 80's series was, these are to kids today what G1 is to us.
if you want to get technical about it. Transformers are an American product.90% maybe 100% of the molds of G1 were of Diaclone, Microchange, Microman, Beetras, and Dorvack; all Japanese lines. The concept of gigantic sentient robots full of free though that can transform wasn't innovated until it hit America.

They didn't kill Autobot X. They used him to carry Spike's consciousness while Spike was injured. HE went a bit psycho and then they put him back. Autobot X was never seen again

I may be only 13 but I have become very fond of each Transformer Generation. From G1 to the Cybertron that's out today. You should be thankful that Armada and, "other bullshit" labeled Transformers even has some of the same characters and storyline. I hear the moive coming in 7.4.7 is about looking for :A: energon cube. Lol. Atleast Armada had the Matrix and Unicron unlike the upcoming crap AFTER Cybertron.

Pretty good, but it didn't have as many different incarnations of TF as I'd hoped. You barely touched Beast Wars, there was no trace of HeadMasters or Beast Machines (thankfully, but it IS still TF).
And there were none of the Japanese continuations included. There are a few others, but those were mostly shown in Japan.

Bring the original Transformers back, use the Japenese style of drawing,but keep American actors and American writers. Japenese characters sound like wussies. I can't stand anymore of that powerranger type crap where everyone announces the move and weapon they are going to use. And everyone voice sounds like they are 12yrs old.

That was pretty cool when in Beast Wars they found the relics of the original Transformers group in that mountain, and they were Huge.

Pretty good, but it didn't have as many different incarnations of TF as I'd hoped. You barely touched Beast Wars, there was no trace of HeadMasters or Beast Machines (thankfully, but it IS still TF).
And there were none of the Japanese continuations included. There are a few others, but those were mostly shown in Japan.

really? so i have all the episodes in dvd and i also have the cartoon and the real life movies... oh and i have all the toys and all the vide-games... i've watched all the series, including the japanese one and i've also watched the secret episode when they bang ur mom until her ass starts bleeding!!!
