Awesome vid, about to buy a turbo and exhaust for my 09 Si. I would think you'd drop it in third on the highway, he has a little space between when the turbo kicks in. I know I can put it in third at 65 and be at about 6300 rpm. Stock I've had mine up to 134 mph with just a cold air intake. I'll be sure to take before and after videos of my car and post them. Again, great video and nice job on the car.

We have found that it takes our customers several days to get used to the new amount of power. So their shifting and driving is not as good as it will be once they have had their car for a while.

Remember that just about any car can get up to 134 mph, it's just how long it takes to get there that makes the difference. With turbo, you're going to pass those cars much faster when you stomp on it.

Thats not true the reason they put that on the car is some states have tight emission regulations and alot of people remove the factory emissions. So mistsubishi evos are not street legal or STI or the new GTR or toyot supra or 300zx or the new taurus sho or cobolt ss eevry manufacturer has at least one turbo car in its line up. It's not the turbo that makes it "not legal", its that some people take out the catalytic converter (which is illegal in SOME states) but having a turbo does NOT make it illegal or off-road use only. I can support that statement, can you support yours?

if i were to bring an si down to south florida from toronto, and had it built and tuned, would the car run the same or a little worse with the tune since up here is cooler all year round and then winter comes, whereas down there its hotter and more humid, or is there a way you guys can compensate on the tune so when it comes up here it could run fine?

The best thing to do is to tune it locally. No one tune fits all temperatures, altitudes, etc.

We could do some compensation, but it's going to be an educated guess.

Okay I have a question for you guys up there at ajperformance I have a 1993 ford probe 4 cylinder 2.0 how much would it cost to get me a brand new KL-ZE engine and a Turbo Kit for that engine and how much would it cost to have it all installed? And another thing since my car has the 2.0, 4 cylinder will the KL-ZE engine fit under the hood or would it be to big?

You'll need a Competition Stage 4 clutch disk (disk only, not the kit) and Ingalls Stiffy Engine Torque Damper.

You can use stock axles, tranny, radiator and brakes.

If you look at our previously posted video with Henry, his car came to us with a built motor and a quasi-408 whp, but it was undrivable.

We fixed it up and got him to 568 whp and drivable.

There's quantity of hp but there is also quality of hp. Quantity does not automatically mean quality.

In Tommy's car, there is no turbo lag and no hesitation.

It's not up to us to say that a custom kit is worth doing or not doing. We know that experience with the Si and a good fabricator are just as important has having a good tuning solution.

Our kit is in its 3rd year of production. We are fine-tuning our kit at this point. A custom kit is basically a rough draft. It boils down to what you're satisfied with.

Our Precision 6262s is the equivalent of a GT35, so we don't see the need to switch, but ultimately, our kit would work with either turbo.
