3 Rotor Rx-8 Single Turbo

i've seen 2 litre rx-7 - doubt this rx8 is one though, sorry. not to mention your idle would be like 0 if you had a 2 litre rotary - the FD just has a WAAAAY bigger motor, that can actually handle 2 litres.

I don't want to sound like a dick but u ruined it when u swaped motors, the rx8 has perfect 50-50 weight distribution, and when u do that swap it throws it off, I do time attack so handling is a must

@patrickryan814 Actually Rx8 isn't 50/50. It's more rear biased like 49/51. Besides 50/50 isn't everything. It's where the weight is that's more important. As long as this engine is placed behind the front tire center line and low in the engine bay, you will retain perfect balance in this chassis.

@rotaryperfection uh no actually professionally speaking the more weight goes over the front (drive) wheels the better. so on pro draggers the engine they actually put it mad far out in front almost over the headlights. then if you want to make it 50.50 put sandbags or bricks in the trunk

The problem is not the cost of the engine. The problem is the labor and tuning costs, all the parts you're going to have to buy and upgrade, costs to maintain it, and so on. Sending it to Puerto Rico for the install is one thing, finding a tuner in the US who can maintain it for you is another. This isn't a "few thousand dollars" type of deal. This costs closer to $30,000 when all is said is done.

after buying engine you need other components along with the motor, like you'll also need a 13bt/13rew transmission cuz all 20b were automatics, i would also recommend a standalone system(haltec or microtech are user friendly) to actually get the timing/idling right, also you'll need to upgrade a lot like fuel injectors, bigger fuel pump... make no mistake though, this is a VERY huge upgrade for your car... thats why its expensive....

Eunos Cosmo has the true 20B,

also various tuner sites have them, but you will pay an arm and a leg for them.

best route to go is the crate motor route, then you know it works....but i hope you have a minimum of 10K laying about.
