The Toomer's tree took 130+ years just to get as big as it was, which was small for an Oak tree. The tradition could die out by then, because thats at least 2 generations in the future. And also, for all you Alabama fans saying that its not all of yalls fault, its just the guys, i understand and respect that. Your right, it was only his fault. Ok. im sick of people saying "its just a tree" and "you can always plant another one." LET ME MAKE THIS COMPLETELY CLEAR: 1. It isn't just a tree. Its tradition, and its one of the main factors that make up Auburn's history. The entire town was build around Toomer's Corner which was built around that tree so its ALOT more than just a tree. 2. We can't just plant another one. That herbicide is going to be in the ground for at least 3-5 more years. If we plant one now, it'll just die.

I been living in Montgomery, AL for about 6-7 years, but i'm originally from Philadelphia and plan on moving back and going to school there next year. I have to agree with @ldkspardadeuce. People down here take college football way to serious. I mean they absolutely have nothing else to talk about except college football.
