The reason Takenaka Hanbei wants Katakura to join so badly, is because Hanbei is dying, he has tuberculosis and despite his calm figure he does care about Hediyoshi, he wishes for him to rule the land and eventually the world, so that everyone under him can be strong and happy. Hanbei knows that Hediyoshi will need a stratagist and without him, Hediyoshi doesn't have one, thus Hanbei wishes for Katakura to take his place so that Hediyoshi can conquer the land

I said that because I like the story more than the action. the first season of days of our lives was great (went down hill after that). you should broaden your horizons as they say. As far as GTS and code gease are concerned those are my two most favorites. Both of them were master pieces.

Even after your explanation I still don't see how the two can even be compared. This about war, and the emotion that goes with it, as well as how actions effect the entire country in the end... not one or two families. I apologize for being insulting but I don't see how this could be compared to Day of Our lives.
