  • Bellissimo!!! Grazie!!!

  • Wow, cool layout. I love the hugeness of it all, don't think it would fit in my front room though.

  • semplicemente meraviglioso

  • put a penny on the track. oh crap, the trains are small. watch out! CRASH! that wasnt my penny

  • @thepopcorn00 - put a penny on these tracks, and you'd short the current out and the trains wouldn't run.

@rtruss40 - lot of difference between toy trains and model trains. These are models, not toys.

  • @JBofBrisbane - It appears some people are just to thick to ascertain such a distinction huh? I once heard a quote from a modeller "If the world's leaders were into model trains we'de never have the need for war" Go forth and model fellow adults!

  • sweet

    nice work

  • Nice vid...I believe the Northlandz here in Jersey is in the Guiness book for largest model railroad...

  • this proably sounds like a noobish question but how do you make hills and slopes n stuff. im just starting sorry.

  • actually I visited Mittelbau-Dora last year... Mittelbau-Dora is where they built the V2 Rockets in underground Caverns. The Nazi's built Special Launch Sites in France to bomb London, I also visited this train layout... what you see in the beginning is a layout of the former East Germany. There were other halls depicting US countryside and an Orient Express train route begining in London and terminating in Istanbull.

  • A lot of thought has gone into the planning for this layout. What I like is that, rather than the railways tending to dominate the scenery, the lines tend to fit into the scenery in a realistic way. Cool maintenance gantry, too; I bet a few modellers wish they had one like it.

  • very nice could do with a fleet of british class 55 deltics running on it though, maybe all 22 that were made , they were the fastest diesel in the world , thanks lovely layout

  • I thought it was real at first

  • Is that the mountain where the V2's were launched at London?

  • @mikekinney288

no, that was near Nordhausen (Mittelbau-Dora). But it is not that far away I think.

  • @mikekinney288 Not everything to do with Germany is about the War ;)

  • wow looks real :D

  • they are not toys! they are for amuesment and is the worlds greatest hobby!

  • i made holes in mine were expanding though and we are down sizing so we just tore it up

  • MODEL TRAINS ARE NOT TOYS!!!!!!!!!!!

  • what happens if theres a derailment out in the middle of the layout

  • @jasada09

there are holes in the middle for service purposes.

  • Christ on a bike! 5*****

    When it comes to model railways;

    Germany>*

  • I was once in a mc donalds that had a moving train with a track that went around the whole inside. it was pretty cool. the train would choo choo once in a while also.

  • check out minature world in Victoria B.C you will see some awsome train sets.

you get to see a minature version of the great canadian railway. moving trains. with war cavalry scenes and tunnels going into mountains.

  • Amazing, I've got LOADS of boxes full of track but I've not used it in years your actually inspiring me to set it all up again and make a full scale track

  • Where this impressive layout is located?

Is it opened for public visit?

    Whats the adress?

    Thanks!!!

  • Look here:

    modellbahn-wiehe (dot) de

  • can you get uphill and downhill pieces of track or do u just use a piece of the flexible track?

  • Comment removed

  • i saw a big one at nyc during christmas

  • HOLY MOLY!

Never have I seen a model train landscape that big!

  • Check out the model train set called the miniature Wunderland in Germany (yes it's spelled with a U) I have a train set I am starting on my Picverse. I agree with some of the other posters bigger is not always better. I like realism and scale. That being said this is a nice set no doubt.

  • put some graffiti on it and it would be awsome:)

  • Smaller and more detailed is better. The problem with most model RR's is they pack too many trains in per scale. It becomes as if we all had lines and strings of cars everywhere. Less is more...

  • I WISH MY TRACK WAS THAT BIG I LOVE IT

  • If I ever lived in an area with that much locomotive industry.... I'd move. I would take my perfectly good road vehicle and leave that madness to a place where not every neighbour I meet is also a train driver... oh sorrry, "engineer".

  • i wanna buy some of the trees and grass for my horse farm!!!!!!

  • How much can we get closer to see the details and the trains running?

  • Q: What do electric train sets and womens breasts have in common?

A: Both were intended for children, but it's the father who ends up playing with them.

  • LOL!!

  • LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @rtruss40 you like to suck nipples too?

  • Cool. Its a shame that the video quality is low.

  • CHU CHU, THIS TRAIN IS IN SLOW MODE

  • All these trains are in HO Scale?

  • yes

  • where can you get a big layout like that?

  • make it fool

  • this is sooooo boring...

if u wanna see a real good railway track goto MiWuLaTV its in Hamburg and waaaaay bigger and u know what?

THERE ARE ACTUALLY LITTLE PEOPLE AND CARS THERE!!!

that drive! not so boooring like here...

  • most of the speeds on some locomotives doesn't look realistic

  • well their there to make money and so they make it more entertaining if they go faster

  • sometimes, but a lot of modellers want to have a realistic railway that has sensible speeds to each loco, i know i am one

  • this is huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuugeeeeeee

  • i thought i had a big layout lol

  • nice video thanks for sharing

  • that is massive kwl

  • how big is it because that should of taken at least 2 years

  • large

  • super nett !!!!

  • perfectttt

  • Really great vido, showing a good impression of Wiehe model railroad, and they are no longer the biggest layout, Miniturwunderland at Hamburg is definitly bigger. But we can give them the titel "first biggest model railroud in Germany" and shurly the Wiehe-layout made the first step in a new future of model railroad layouts like Hamburg and Berlin. I had seen Wiehe about ten years ago, and it's really worth to be seen, I also visited Loxx at Berlin, but after all Hamburg is the greatest.

  • cool train set

  • How does this not have five stars? It doesent get much better than this I think.

    Great work!

    5*****

  • Do these trains carry miniature people?

  • Why so critical? Just because they dont run it exactly like you want to run yours doesnt mean its bad. The idea of model railroading is to have fun with it. It looked like they were having fun so there was absolutely nothing wrong with the way they are running. I think the bad parts are the stupid comments from a narrow mind.

  • is this n scale?

  • ya thats n scale becouse its so small

  • like the music

  • Really cool track and I really like the spiral track to get the trains to go into a different room, but I just cant get excited about electric and diesel trains.

  • replie to steamleazefishhouse

there are steamers you know here i can see tons in this video if you cant spot one maybe you should check a picture of what a steam engine looks like.

  • Where have I written there are No steam engines here?

  • replie to steamleazefishhouse

"Really cool track and I really like the spiral track to get the trains to go into a different room, but I just cant get excited about electric and diesel trains."

you dont say it but you implie it by saying that you cant get excited over diesel and electric trains.

  • Theres just allot of shots of diesel and electric trains thats all I was commenting on

  • scenery suffers as they went for sheer size, not quallity grass.

  • in your future videos please make the narration texts appear longer than 2 seconds. because i keep having to go back. Otherwise great vid!

  • WOW! BEAUTIFUL!

  • lol added the day after my birthday

    Awesome job guys

  • nice nice nice in moscow they have great one too

  • best video i have seen

  • great video

  • Yeah, how dare someone does what they love for a living. What losers, they should get girlfriends etc. instead of getting paid to do exactly what they want...

  • anyone out there who is in to model rail roading?

  • i'm into n scale and 00 scale

  • I wish I have such a model

  • theres a modlebahn in denmark thats the biggest

  • If that guy fell off the maintenance bridge and landed on the model, everyone would have gone mad at him lol.

  • Lol i thought it was real trains first, it looked like a real railroad!

  • WYPAS Ale bym się pobawił takim czymsc

  • thats alotta hard work and time

  • NICE VIDEO.

  • cool I like HO

  • what scale looks like N or is it HO??!!

  • It´s all H0.

  • what brand of trains are those

  • that is, and i am not joking, well over £1,000,000 or dollers

  • stop on 43:00 and look how blimin big it is i is gob smacked!!!

  • Simply AMAZING. Beautiful work.

  • what if it derailes how do you get to the spot.

  • I thought this was really cool. must have tacken a long time to build

  • OMG! that tower on this video is so amazing if i had a model railway i wish my model railway tower was tall like that

  • supeeerrrrrrr !!!!!! 5stars

  • Because you have no interest in this does not validate your lack of vocabulary and tactless response. Tell us what your hobby is?

  • no it aint a silly hobby its for people who purely enjoy trains!! i do and i also like football ect.

  • So why do you think you need to insult people who enjoy trains?

  • they probly meet more people running that than what u do. and people that share the same interest maybe?

and my hobbies? looking up things i hate on youtube instead of going out and socialising. good one hipocrite

  • HA HA HA I doubt it! Anyway if it makes you feel better...........

FIY "hipocrite" is spelt with a Y unless of course you're referring to the water horse?

  • na i was actually referring to people who say one thing but do the opposite. but u knew what i meant so it doesnt matter how i spelt it.

  • Personally, I like to re enact train wrecks like derailments, head ons with model trains all at excessive speeds. You should try it. It's so much fun.

  • LOL, as much as i hate to waste the money. i agree. its great fun to watch. anyone who saw the addams family movies knows how much gomez enjoyed it XD! if onyl they were made witha thin metal, so they even crushed, and crunched XD!!

  • ma che meraviglia, dove si trova questo plastico?

  • awesome. however its the one thing that model railroad enthusiasts always forget and will admit to. you will never see that many trains in one place at anytime specially in country settings. takes away from the realistic aspect that they are always trying to achieve. again awesome setup though

  • these things ar eawesome i wish i had something so major and awesome as this, its so cool and i really really wish i had something like this to show and mess around with

  • aww man, what i wouldnt give to have a layout like that, awsome man

  • congratulations, from mexico city, I have one set of HO scale to, but this set is osome

    good work

P.D. No soy panista es pura guasa

  • this is very nice, good work, but I think the largest model railway is certainly based in Hamburg.

  • Can i have it? no just kidding im thinking of buying one. i can get one for about $95.00 but my dad will get mad if i spend any more money:( ya i still live with my parents but im only 14 so watever. ya i geuss school sucks i do not like my nabores they suck!!!! i gess minnesota is bad for nabors. i also longboard and snowboard its fun:) do you like to snowboard or longboard? theres a girl i like i think she likes me back what should i do? im moveing prety soon

  • lol

  • dude..... your embarrasing yourself

  • This comment has got nothing to do with this video you idiot!!!

  • Excellent work there! By the way, what music is being played. I like it.

  • Nice layout LOts of detail

  • this layout is the shit!

    nice layout.

  • the biggest model railway show in the world?

I think the worlds largest model railway show is based in Hamburg. Watch the website (its in english and german)

  • no, Northlandz is. It's in New Yersey, I think.

  • I think Northlandz, Flemington, NJ is (was) indeed the biggest model railway in H0-scale.

I visited this layout some 10 years ago.

Since then they have done nothing to keep the layout in shape and now it's nothing more than dirty, broken down displays, with very few trains running (according to some comments). Just like the website which has been the same for the last 10 years.

  • Those Germans sure can build their trains. My mother rode one in 1944 as a "guest" of Adolf Hitler.

  • you disgusting asshole

  • nice video mate it looks so realistic av got one of them to but its the hogwarts express but its not quite as big as that yet

    ITS COOL

  • Nice video, but I do wish it was longer. The good news I've still added to my favorites. Thanks for posting this.

  • that is the best layout i hav ever seen it was amazing amazing amazing thx for showing it on youtube pls view mine and comment them

    thank you

    from sebsrailways

  • What's the name of the song playing in the background? It has a nice beat and goes along with the trains nicely. I like your video a lot .NICE Video. Keep up the good work.

  • The spiral design used to move trains to another level is called a helix.Read Model Railroading, it's a good magazine and will show you a lot of nice things. NICE LAYOUT.

  • I want to see the worlds largest now! It must cover the moon or something, seeing this is so large!

  • the world´s largest one ist the "Miniaturwunderland" (miniature wonderland) in Hamburg.

But their Berlin competitor LOXX tries to beat them now.

  • ....How about the price tag!

  • You actually said something nice about it round about 3:34... I expect it was just a typing error... or I imagined it...

  • yeah, there is a typo: "exibition" instead of "exHibition".

    Happens!

  • pretty fucking cool

  • I Can Think of how big the control centre will be

  • They might use remotes! I wounder if they have multiple remotes....

  • they can run a cumputer programing system and that helps out to controll the sppeds and all the trains

  • Ya, but it would be funny if they had as much remotes as me (remotes include anything from SONY PS3 remotes to VCR remotes), if my remotes suddenly became keys, I could be a janitor for a school of at least 4500...

  • Something to get really model train horny of!

    5 stars

  • magnificent job!!!bet your wife never sees you haha

  • sehr schone!!!!!!

  • Good job. I have been playing around with making model rail video and am wondering how you deal with the audio. Do copyright issues hold you back when inputing music?

  • how do u go about making a hill then

  • that would be the funest thing to mess around with

  • snootylittleman is a douchebag

wtf r u even talking about

this train model thing is pretty cool man

i bet it took the dood a mad long time to make

  • how much this, 200 euros?, where i buy

  • what are the diemensions then?

  • Couldnt you think of something better to do than criticise a few minor quibbles? SO WHAT if a few trains run slightly too fast or accelerate/brake abruptly? Lets see you do better operating a layout that size. You'd need an operator for every train plus several signallers. Ruined a good video with those negative comments.

  • That is exactly the point: You don´t need an extra controller. The trains all run digitally controlled by a computer. Otherwise it wouldn´t be possible.

But the digital equipment has exactly this very advantage to run the trains more authentically.

Actually, the comments are rather just for fun than a serious critique.

  • who actualy owns this and how much wa it and how does the digital thing work? this stuff's pretty sweet

  • I agree with you.

Is it Miniature Wunderland in Hamburg ?

If yes, I think, it is wonderfull train diorama in the world.

    Regards, from Jakarta

  • this is miniature wunderland and they have also dvd's in the shop there.check the site from them and enjoy what you see.i did :P

  • How long did that take to make?

  • It's not the German Class V180 (BR 118) - it's a BR 119

  • Stimmt, hast recht. Ist mir gar nicht aufgefallen!

  • Simply fantastic. The maintenance bridge shows the size of the layout. The scenery is unbelievable and the trains speed is perfect.

  • Amazing

  • fukinghell (please excuse my lamgugae), the bludy layout is massive, how much do u fink it is worth, i think about £500000

  • how much is that in american dollars? 5,000,000?

  • All I can say is WOW!!! Awesome job and so realistic. :)

  • PS: Most of them

  • WOW! The landscape is PERFECT!!! But the trains are way to fast

  • Nice...

  • oh deeeeaaaaarrrrr! i didnt think it was that big until i atually saw the man on dat bridge thing and even my bro thought it was gd and he hates trains! well done! p.s keep on making videos of ur track plz!!!

  • awesome tearing mine down starting over
