MooseOfReason...you are 100% correct when you imply Obama wants a double standard, where only he can disgracefully attach the high court, but he and others believe they shouldn't defend themselves - what a worthless human being.
halcyon0830 - you have the right idea, but the WRONG person...it is Obama that needs replacing.
speaking of campaign financing, I"m running for congress and accepting NO DONATIONS from anywhere. My videos are low budget (no budget) and explain how this should be done. I'd be much obliged if you would critique them.
Obama is a fucking stinking turd. Brown and smelly, just floating in the bowl waiting to be flushed down. He doesn't even know it yet, though he suspects something is not right--after all, what is he doing floating around in a toilet bowl stinking to high heaven, he wonders....
ok, he should his head and muttered....and? the man is allowed to have a pulse, just saying, he shouldn't be biased or too emotional when making decisions, but he can have a point of view. i don't like the decision either.
* so you were just being sarcastic in your first response? *
Sorry I wasn't very clear. I don't honestly think Alito's brief muttering was a big deal, but I also don't think it's accurate to say, as you did at first, that he just shook his head. I think you can defend Alito's reaction, but I don't think the way to do that is by mischaracterizing it. Anyway, no big deal.
Z200a, The Supreme Court Justices were invited guests and they weren't allowed to say anything while the President blasted them. That's rude, for one. Also, the President, according to Judge Napolitano, was factually wrong, as you can watch here:
I dislike Alito as much as the next progressive but this whole thing is just more distraction. People screaming that Obama was out of line, people screaming that Alito was out of line--it's all just b.s. I like Turley but in this matter it's really just a lot of noise.
I agree. The fact that Alito mouthed "not true" or whatever is irrelevant. The real problem is that he sold our country to multinational corporations. Focusing on what he mouthed during a speech afterward is a waste of time.

I disagree. It helps to bring focus to two things: (1) The terrible decision that sells out our democracy to corporations, and (2) Alito's proud defiance when criticized for the ruling.
It's all for the good. More people will probably hear about this horrid decision because of this incident than heard of it otherwise.
who gives a rats ass what a robot like turley claims he thinks

If it was out of line for Justice Alito to mouth those words, why wasn't it out of line for the President to call out the Supreme Court like that?
And don't say, "Well, he's the President." They're co-equal branches of government.

Coming to think of it...you, sir have actually a very good argument.
That´s why I like youtube, there are also some intelligent comments out there which make you think and can change your opinion on a subject.

Obama MUST REPLACE Justice Alito WITH Justice Jonathan Turley.
Ralph Nader / Ron Paul / Jonathan Turley for 2012.

umm, so the guy isn't allowed to shake his head??

Why are you lying? Or are you just ignorant? Alito did more than shake his head.

I agree. I really don't see what the big deal is. It's not like Joe Wilson's "You Lie!!!" outburst.

This comment has received too many negative votes show
Ha, the justices don't have freedom of speech. The USSA is a sad place, I hope MSNBC and Fox fall with the republic.

We must not think for ourselves. Heil Obama! Heil Heil!
In a democratic society, one is supposed to question their leaders.

I hadn't considered the coverage angle. You're right, it is important that this story gets coverage.

It's tough to be neutral. It's even harder to prevent your own emotions while having to be neutral.
I hope both parties don't use this as some sort of political dynamite where the people now go after the judicial branch on a personal level.
