  • Great video, but a couple of small points:

    1) I don't believe the chair must ask, "Are you ready for the question" in every instance, but instead could simply wait to see whether anyone wishes to speak.

    2) The second member to speak fails to say, "Mr. Chair!" upon standing, to request the floor.

    Thanks for the comments.

    1) The chair looks around and asks, "Are you ready for the question" (AYRFTQ) after looking at the maker of the motion. She didn't rise quickly so I asked AYRFTQ [RONR (11th ed.), p. 37, ll. 28-34]. I wasn't sure if there was further debate so asked AYRFTQ [RONR (11th ed.), p. 44, ll. 13-15]. Next time we'll clarify.

    2) I agree it is preferable, even in a small meeting to state, "Mr. Chair". We'll correct next time this is done.

    thanks

  • @steveghi Thank you for the reply.

In any event, as I said, all three videos you've posted on this topic are excellent — to the point, and easily followed. Perhaps you may decide to put together a longer segment, demonstrating a full meeting (per R.O.N.R.), at some point.

    Thanks, again.
