I agree that pacificism is not the best foreign policy. Rather, I look to our wise founders' advice of a non-interventionist foreign policy. Jefferson and Washington spoke of avoiding entangling foreign alliances. I think it was John Q. Adams who warned of not going abroad in search of monsters to destroy. This neo-conservative idea that we can spread democracy through force all over the world is both unrealistic and unsustainable.

The Constitution Party and the Libertarian Party are for the most part havens for disaffected conservatives. The Republican party sold out conservatism a long time ago. It's interesting that Ron Paul got the most donations from members of the military, which was more than all other primary candidates combined. Ron Paul is for a strong national defense, but for a non-interventionist foreign policy. This notion seemed to be popular among our brave men and women in the military.
