@TheReaISkater M5 price plus the 30k to upgrade it, you could fully build a Charger (to a 7.0) and with a Procharger and all, and it would slaughter a M5 any day of the week. Remember an old saying that will ALWAYS remain true "there is no replacement for displacement" A M5 weigh's just as much as a charger but only has a 5.0L (4.999cc) engine, Charger's can get to a 7.0 (7000cc). A charger can get the horsepower to destroy a M5 and still have money left over compared to what you paid for a M5

@Albee213 BMW is going down, look at the vidio with the 2011 BMW M5 vs the 2011 GT Mustang, the Mustang is every bit as good as the BMW, but even the euro driver admits the GT Mustang has better brakes and has superior balance and has a better band of power, more bottom end. Hmmm That's odd because Ihave number 2509(Go ManGo) Full stock and it's shuts down at 145-146. I've tried to get it higher just to see, but the limiter kicks in. Love it though...

I got the plum crazy daytona and my charger does 160 stock. i got it to that before i put the chip on it. my chip takes me to 170 and im not sure if ive hit it. but ive gone over 160. i have 22" performance wheels and rims on my car and it came with NO limiter or governer... im not sure how or why. but my car seems to have had alot of issues with being different then other daytonas...mine came with 3" exhaust the whole way back with an X pipe and no resonators, only suitcase muffler

Theres nothing performance about 22" rims sorry. And a chip doesn't give you 10 more mph top speed. It would take about 75-100hp to do that. You probably are going about 162mph. Plus the speedo in the car is off by about 3% at those speeds so you could only be going 155.

I have dyno tuned my car at a race shop and I got more than 10hp at the top, I did get almost 20 in the mid range areas, as for the speedo being off, dont know but I have gone over a 130 with a navigation in car and it was just about perfect, I do agree about the 22" inchers! Shouldnt go over 20", you need to if you want break upgrades.

@hoezay its electronically limited to 145 from the factory, if you get the Diablo Predator you can increase the stock speed to 160 but without it the car will shut off at 145 and yet another lie because the gear's in the transmission limit the top speed to 166mph you run out of gears at that point.

@darksniper1982 Stock these cars are limited to 130 MPH not 145 MPH. Also, the transmission is not lmited to 166 MPH, because in the SRT it allows for 175 MPH, and in the 2011 versions it allows for 182 MPH.

@hemipower340 yah my bad on that one thought it was the R/T R&T, I own a 2006 Dodge Charger R/T Daytona and it's top speed is 145mph stock but I have a predator so the limiter is raised to 199mph even though it'll never get there.

I ran a 13.77 the one and only time I ran it at the track. You need to get a programmer to change the speed limiter, even stock the Charger will do 160 after changing the limter.

I chipped it and changed the speed limiter to 170, its all computer controlled. Do not know if mine can make it to 170 but who cares at this point!!

I own a 2006 Dodge Charger R/T and when it was stock programmed it would not go over 125. I read all I could about this car before I bought it and they might have changed it in 07-09 but it was supposed to be set at 130 for the R/T and 140 for the Daytona. I do not know if it was limited for the SRT8 and I know they are capable of 180 stock. I chiped mine and it will do over 160.

The speedometer stops at 160 but the needle goes past that. I have the computer set at 170 and when I hit the 160 mark it was still climbing.
