Besides, as others have said, this won't work in vending machines. It's likely it wouldn't even work in old machines but it certainly won't work in newer machines which use more sophisticated methods to check the coins.

Do it turkish style in Germany: Get a coin, get an icebox and get some modeling clay. Put the coin in the modeling clay, take it out carefully, let the modelling clay dry, put water in it. freeze it and take the ice coin out. It has the exact things the coin does, minus one side. anyways, most machines read the ridges and one side, fooling the machine to work. Use the coin on the machine, watch it work, and when the guy who collects the change open the coin bank, there will be only water. xD

FYI for anyone wondering, any coin machine would not be fooled by this no matter how old. Some of the older ones could be fooled by metal washers though. All of them work off of weight, some of them also go by thickness, and a lot of them read how many ridges are on the coin too. SO a simple thing like this would really probably just get stuck and if not, it may end up in the reject slot. Don't waste your time like whoever made this video did.

Vending machines check the weight, shape, and even what kind of metal it is made of by using a small device that is behind the coin slot.

Obviously this coin that this douche made is made of cardboard and tin foil,

for a vending machine to accept it, it has to be made of PURE metal, such as zinc, copper, iron. Nowhere does it say that coins are made of cardboard!

hey i know a fool proof way of doing this!! find out what hte coins are made out of(if you really want to!) and get/make a coin press! it would take longer but if someone tries to look at your fake coins they might think theyre real especially when they hear it clunk when it hits the other coins in the receptacle!

This is really dumb! I've worked with vending machine coin machines and bill machines. These coins wont stand a chance in a coin slot, they are too thick to SLIDE smoothly down the coin chute. Forget this gimmick, it only works in wooden toy boxes.
