@Tahnithaar The problem with having Lock-On at all is illustrated in a video that I can't find anymore, it was called Monster Hunter: Downfall.

Lock-On option = Lots of children posting shitty MH videos on Youtube and because they're getting a helping hand from Lock-On they'll be able to do pretty well. The line between pro and noob will blur pretty badly with all the noobs suddenly not needing to learn positioning to land attacks and perform high-end intercepts.

@Dqowreorn: Really, Lock-on would be the opposite of training wheels in Monster Hunter. Someone trying to cut a tail while in lock-on would be right fucked, and trying to dance-lance with a camera that kept moving around would not end well.

Really, the main reason I don't want lock-on is not because of any silly thing about pros and noobs or anything like that - simply because it'd be completely useless and self-defeating, and a total waste of a button.

@uscdrew MHTri didn't have a button that turned you to face the monster, it re-centred the camera. Auto-turning you to face the monster might still be acceptable though, so long as you can't do it mid-charge or anything.

Going toe to toe with an equal adversary like this one was truly entertaining. My gunlance didnt fail me and put that almost untouchable hide down. I believe that MHF3 must have Fatalis or i will not be happy. It was just exhilerating, dueling with a beast that can K.O. me in one shot, regardless of armor. Even my finest weapon and armor (Ukanlos) met its match with this awesome beast. My helmet off to you MH, Best Boss Battle Ever. And the soundtrack is nice too!

Y'know, the Fatalis ( most especially the black one ) could be considered the most traditional of the dragons in MH. They arent some animal hybrids like Leo and T., multi-elemental like ala, odd biology like Kursa and Chamelous, godzilla like Lao, and...whatever Ama can be considered. They just look like your typhical dragon and have ( originally ) typhical attack. Yet, they still are the most powerful!Fighting B. Fatalis in a ruined castle? It's almost as if we've traveled into a fantasy book!

Now that someone reminded me about the Tower, I have to say, it's quite a perfect home for the White Fatalis and is almost like the tower of Babel in the Bible. It reaches to the heavens, to the realm where God himself lays!

Plus, when you mine the Tower, most times you get decayed Dragon scales. Suggesting that the Tower itself is made of the scales of Dragons! It really helps proclaim how the White Fatalis is the king of Dragons! Alatreon has nothing on the real strongest Dragon!

fellow hunters for the last 5 months i have been researching on powerful monsters and as a conclusion for the fatalis i think that as everyone seems to agree to that black fatalis is the youngest of its species i think that it eventually travels to the volcano and over several centuries builds up its red tinge and then when it's reached a certain age it will look for the tower and rest there for many ages becoming elementally powerful in electricity due to its height

@bigbadvader369 i'm a long sword user and in my opinion Whitey is the most pleasant to fight, Blacky have the annoying tendece to flight and it have that damned charge that can grind you in every moment if you are in close combat, even if you stay on his hell, Crimsy isn't bad by itself but sadly his arena sucks, all those magma rivers are an annoying obstacle that can put you in a bad situation where you can barely escape

Having evolved to suit their enviornment, most Elder Dragons are no longer " pure ", thus emphazing White's " Ancestory and Purity ".

Basically, Fatalises are living fossils. And the ultimate Monsters and Gods.
