@werdna2590@lickflame Based on income my family is below poverty level and I actually pay less for organic than I would for most conventional foods because I belong to an organic co-op. Organic co-ops exist in most countries and cities. I find it funny that most people who say they cant afford organic smoke like 2 packs of cigarettes a day which costs more than I spend on organic food.
It took nature millions of years for to organize the genes of all these organisms. Why would anyone think slapping another one somewhere in there can possibly turn out well.

GMO industry is all about world control, NOT human betterment.

This is why we need strong regulations and watchdogs that force corporations to behave ethically and responsibly. When you allow corporations to practice free market ideals, their primary concern is strictly making profits and not the health of the american people. Corporations NEVER act, of their own volition, in a responsible manner and here we have yet another ex.
What kind of world are we leaving our kids. I wonder if autism has anything to do with prenatal exposure to GMO thu the mother
The following posts are directed at dgbassassassin. ..in our world. For example, there are fewer trees but more human buildings. This is because we took the matter (i.e. the wood) that made up the tree and used it to build a house. Matter cannot be truly created or destroyed, only recycled. So, everytime another baby is born, it has to eat and so it will be taking up some of that finite amount of matter that makes up the world to feed itself, etc. What I am getting at is, if the population...
@AStrangeTestSubject you may have confused me with someone else,as i am anti-GMO food,so I think we're on the same page there. I don't disagree that development is manipulation of the environment, either. I just wonder at how we would accomplish this population reduction.it's one thing to say we need to learn to stop procreating so much ,and to point out the ill effects of growth. It's another to advocate forced sterilization or genocide.not saying you do, just asking what the solution may be.
GE foods are the only chance we have of feeding 7 frikin billion people. See if you care if food is organic ( which is a bullshit term) or GE if your starving like 2 billion people are! Morons...
@thewebmaster93 Yes, but just wait until the population keeps going up until we can't sustain it. What happens when the population goes up to 9 billion or 12 billion? Raping the earth for all it's resources and breeding out of control until l it can no longer sustain us isn't the answer. The answer is organic farming in smaller communities; if that requires that we have a smaller population, so be it. People need to learn to stop bringing forth children into an already starving world.
@AStrangeTestSubject so, what? one child policies? a central ruling authority determinining who can breed and who cannot? what would the criteria be for a breeding license? who's going to enforce such things? the world is starving because of economic and environmental manipulation by the elites, not because there are too many people. This line of thinking goes down a dark road--one that leads to concentration camps and genocide.
@dgbassassassin I agree with your points. Yes, the world is in a messed up place due to economic and environmental manipulation (which, by the way, the GE foods you praise in your previous post count as). Now, I don't know how much of an education you have, but I have been through university and let me tell you a little something about the conservation of matter. This will take a few posts to explain, so if you are interested then check them out.
@thewebmaster93 “Just because we are hungry does not make us accept food which we do not like,” said Mr Mpepereki, Soil Science professor at the University of Zimbabwe.“In any case, I do not think that our hunger is so desperate that we can mortgage the long-term future and purity of our farm produce. Hunger is not permanent.”
People are starving for many other reasons, mostly economic- Not because of a lack of Genetically Modified food.
I love gmo food, know why? They use less land, are MORE enviornmentally friendly, are less likely to contain E.Coli, and personally they taste better. I actually researched this shit unlike most of the biased people here in the youtube community.
@zzzIdividedbyzerozzz Really? Have you ever heard of propaganda, brainwashing and BS for profits? Stop watching TV and see how your research changes as reality breaks through your programming. Try researching with truth this time!
@connielane I don't base my views on poor educational videos and emotions as you may do, I base it off stat and numbers. Efficiency and effectiveness is all I care about. I don't waste my time hating on the government or big businesses for the world's problems the regular people are just as much at fault. Brainwashing? I love how you people use that term, oh and "Wake Up" is also another good one, makes me laugh. Reality isn't a conspiracy,.
@zzzIdividedbyzerozzz You certainly have a superior attitude! How does one, such as yourself, ever learn anything when they think the know it all?!!! Too bad, so sad! "you people" sounds so racist!
Milk from cows injected with genetically modified bovine growth hormone (rbGH/rbST) has higher levels of pus, antibiotic-resistant bacteria, bovine growth hormone, and insulin-like growth factor-1—linked to higher rates of cancer and fraternal twins...
@SovereignBeing I really doubt thats true. Do you have any evidence. Its just that when we eat food, proteases in the gut break all proteins down into their constituent amino acids. Hormones are quite large proteins I believe, so will be broken down.
But I think some small molecules can pass into the blood, such as toxins... but even then they are broken down quickly. When you take mushrooms or ecstasy the neurotransmitters do pass into the blood.
@markgg1 infact there was a report on milk on tv last night.. they tested many different types and nearly all came back with up to 150 times the safe levels for psychotropic bacteria.. the flavoured milk was even worse, up to 20 million bacteria particles! 200x the safety limit for bacteria... Milk is a threat to public safety ! there are no two ways about it..!
@markgg1 sorry i didnt mean to reply to you.. i see no argument in weather GMO is bad for you.. ! go lok at the tests they did with rats on gmo where they all got cancer.. if you think gmo is good, you are either a shill, havent done enough research, and certainly have no clue about the agenda. waste of time debating that one!
" ravings of ignorant loons too obstinate to see all sides of such a complicated matter"
The matter isn't complicated, at all. Patenting life is wrong! "Norman Borlaug" was funded by the Rockerfeller foundation...'nough said!
Today, I read the ingredients in a jar of peanut butter. After sugar (#1) was rapeseed (canola oil) corn and cottonseed oil; all GMOs. There is absolutely NO reason for ANY of these ingredients to be in there or the hundreds of other products. Wake the fuck up!
A reponse? I sincerely hope this is because you bring a reasonable argument to the table and not because you identify personally with my last criticism. In retrospect, I realize my presumption was rather harsh. Regardless, I feel that you are on the verge of illustrating a false dichotomy by claiming absolutes where there are none. As for Norman Borlaug? His efforts are credited with saving millions of people world wide from starvation. Maybe you weren't aware of that?
Will you fucking zombies wake up?! The only reason GMOs exist at all, is so that corporations like Monsanto can CONTROL the WORLD'S agriculture and make countless billions while they're doing it! I had a Roma tomato that tasted like fish! Gee, I wonder why. I don't touch ANYTHING that contains corn/soy/canola/ cottonseed/colors/flavors or artificial sweeteners. If everyone did this, we just might have REAL food to eat. The N.A. diet is probably 5% real food at best. Pay attention to the videos!
All those who think GMOs is the answer to world hunger; there are more people starving today than there were before Monsanto started pushing the GMOs on us! Just wait until one of the DNA traits or characteristics go haywire! But wait...the elite have squirreled away millions of 'real' seeds in the Arctic, in case of catastrophe - but there's a problem. They won't want to share them with us lowly citizens!
For those of you who know what's going on; I saw a disgusting display of corporate brainwashing today. I was out at the university and in the SUB, there were ping pong tables set up, lots of fancy colours and banners and young men/women handing out (free) stride gum to the unsuspecting students. This gum like most, contains three artificial sweeteners; sucralose, aspartame and acesulfame potassium! Pushing these 'excitotoxins' is like pushing drugs. If you don't know about these - start reading!
As hypothesis, in concept, GMOs are not a bad thing. Why not make all corn and rice and cotton herbicide resistant? Why not help facilitate gene drift, especially if it can increase crop yield? The issue is with one organization controlling the science behind these achievements. The self-gratifying lusts of Fascism long ago piped away the peoples leaders. Now the people eat swill and beg
" Please sir, more." Dare not turn off the Tele and READ. Dare not use the internet for more than porn
And to add to that, people in my generation, around the ages 13-16, "we are simply the guinea pigs to this experiment" let's see what happens to us in our adult years.
This is similar to what happened to people who smoked in the past, they didn't know that it was bad for them.. but look what it causes. And how long did it take for them to figure this out? 50 years.
GM means Food supply monopolistic control. Most GM crops are herbicide resistant, is just improvement for a higher use of more toxic pesticides and herbicides. U are eating this, and some of u approve this. DDT was also good at his golden time. Good for cancer. When a few chemical companies will have control over food supplies it will be too late to react. And u still think that is free country. Free for rich corporations. MUhahahahahaha!!
GMOs are not all bad. Take the evolution of transportation, primitive humans made do with horses, but now we happily use far better and cheaper (relative to income) cars - of course there's the issue of car safety and pollution, and that must be worked on, but it's not a reason to not use cars at all.
Cars kill over a million people worldwide a year, are you willing to give up your car? GMO's purported negative effects, even the most extreme, pale in comparison.
haha you really don't have a clue what's going on! Please read, and give 1-2 months, and I am sure if you care about "people" like you and me, opinions will change.
MadPutz: If you were just 20 I.Q. points smarter, you would be a complete idiot! Go eat your HFCS, artificial sweeteners, MSG, Tartrazine and go get yourself 2 or 3 flu shots while you're at it...they're small! With braindead people such as yourself, running around loose, I can actually see some wisdom in depopulation!
"the elephant in the room" is that there are, and will be too many people, for us to feed. I believe that the only sustainable way to for the future of humans is to limit births. I think every couple should be able to have two children (ie, replace themselves), and if they want more children . . . fine . . . adopt them.
AnnaMishel, you overlook some important details. Where would you limit births? If you limit them worldwide, what about nations where natural increase is minimal, and have an ageing population? The suggestion of adoption is absurd, we will have a world where the rich will be paying the poor to have children for them, not to mention what would happen to any children that are born over the limit. Education and family planning is the way forward, not limiting child numbers.
I'd be deathly afraid of working for Monsanto for fear of getting killed just walking out my house. I'd be afraid of being drug out, stuffed in some car or van somewhere and tortured and if lucky killed. You couldn't pay me $1 million a month to work for Monsanto for fear of my own life and my family. I wouldn't work for Monsanto ethically or any way. And if I were a lawyer for Monsanto, forget it. I'd definitely fear for my safety and my family working for Monsanto. soisnessdotorg
On May 19th, the American Academy of Environmental Medicine (AAEM) called on Physicians to educate their patients, the medical community, and the public to avoid GM (genetically modified) foods when possible and provide educational materials concerning GM foods and health risks. They called for a moratorium on GM foods, long-term independent studies, and labeling. AAEMs position paper stated, Several animal studies indicate serious health risks associated with GM food.
what's so bad about genetically modified foods? It's not like they're less healthy, or taste any different. On the documentary show "Bullshit", they do an experiment where they have a plate of organically grown apples and a plate of genetically modified apples. When asked to try each and say which tasted better and to guess which is organic, almost every person guessed the genetically modified apple was organic because it was sweeter and tasted much more fresh than the other one.
Boycott Monsanto! Buy organic foods only! That is the only way to avoid GMO's in the US. Monsanto is not speeding evolution. Look at the name, mon santo, why do you think they chose that name for their corporation?
While watching the following videos with the screen tilted back a bit do this - quick short stop/starts on the Play button. Do you see the "O waves" or "Sky Waves"? The camera catches them. Video is "Does Orgonite Eliminate Chemtrails"
With Video called "Effects of Orgonite in the Environment:" stop at 0:57, 0:58,...... to 1:09 mins. And have the screen tilted kind of dark. See the "O Waves"? soisnessdotorg
@connielane Even Organic foods can have GMOs in it the only way to be safe is to move to places like Europe that have banned GMO foods, also, some foods say GMO free, but it's almost impossible to find them.
@connielane - I don't know about GMOs in Organic foods, but Whole Foods sells USDA certified Organic vegetables that were grown (likely in toxic sludge) in third world countries.
watch?v=JQ31Ljd9T_Y
The "Organic" label is owned by the USDA and means that the produce has not had anything else sprayed on it other than the 19 synthetic pesticides that have been approved by the USDA for use on "Organic" crops ... 19 approved synthetic poisons!
DO SOMETHING THEN!spread organic heirloom food seed far and wide, its called"johnny appleseed economics"or"gorrila gardens",spread more organic food than GMO and you will water down the effects and if everyone becomes self suffcient at their homes it will stop GMO right in its tracks,if there is enough people it will save our food system, thats how you win! wake up everyone,do your part if u are angry, get seed and make a organic revolution your way.SPREAD THE ORGANIC SEED EVERYWHERE TELL OTHERS

How can you blindly mess with 3 billion years of genetic evolution FFS! are you yanks mad? would you eat pork with human genes in? how many times can a food be genetically modified? An INDEFINITE number of times?
Pigs do share many of our genes, they are our not so distant cousins, genetic modification is just another form of evolution, it is natural, it is part of nature. Where it differs from Darwinian natural selection is in having a purpose
Rightly said...what I find disconcerting is that videos like this tend to reject the potential benefit that GM technology has for mankind. Almost all the debate I heard somehow manages to bring Monsanto in the debate. And how gm technology is a sinister plan by evil Monsanto to take over the world, I can't argue with people like that. They are dogmatic, it is like a religious belief to them.
I am the producer of this movie. I do not reject the potential benefit of GM technology, I reject the reckless implementation. For instance, incorporating it into open pollinated crops and commodity crops which are then added to virtually all food without conducting safety testing. We should be given a choice about participating in this experiment. I cannot give the benefit of the doubt to companies engaged in this technology based on their past behavior. In a perfect world, maybe.
Finally someone who can talk without cursing and name calling. Thanks for being civilized. I hear what you are saying, but in that case your video should have been called something like 'Corporations and the issue with GM food', or something like that. BTW, GM foods are very well tested before it hits the market.
They are well tested for what they are designed for (pest resistance, herbicide resistance, etc.). They also test for known allergens. They are NOT well tested in terms of human feeding. Since we are all eating them, health problems can not be clearly linked to them. It would be nearly impossible to have a control group to do a proper study in the US at this point. There have also been numerous cases of unapproved varieties making it into the food supply.
"Preliminary findings suggest a link between Morgellons Disease and Agrobacterium, a soil bacterium extensively manipulated and used in making GM crops; has genetic engineering created a new epidemic?"
Google it : "Agrobacterium & Morgellons Disease, A GM Connection?
That is understandable but it we work together to show that we dont want GM crops, then organic will be all thats left and the price for it will go down.
hi I did not say we never was on top, or had the most oldest living but we should always be the top because of our food, water and medicine. I got my list from the best source,,Guinness Book of Records
One question, As a Americian, our food and water is suppose to be the cleanest in the world, why are we Americians getting Diabetes? I'm just 45 years old and this was not here when I was a kid, No I don't have it, but I worry about it. Anyway, every year, when they talk about the oldest person in the world, it's always somebody, in a 3rd world country, and how does that happens? Year after year? How people in other countries out live Americians, when everything here is suppose to be better
f the 10 oldest living men in the world 6 are americans. Of the 10 oldest living currently period 6 of 10 are americans. The stats on women are less available. In the top three oldest ever. 1 american, 1 french, 1 japanese. Ignorance of the facts dosn't make it true.
I don't think those so called "GMO" sceintist eat what they produce. Any of us here who's good at investigation skills may go and "EXPOSE" what "these people" eat. It may as well they plant their own "healthy organic food" at home for their own comsumption. The rest of it which is not approved by "Advanced" country is systmatically dumped to so called 2nd. or 3rd. world country like mine. There is no indication at all where my food is coming from let alone any labels at all.
So the FDA is not perfect. nothing is, but unless you are on a diet of purely meat and poultry some of the foods you eat and the products you use were approved by the FDA. Science is improving everyday why not put science to use!
If the FDA promotes something, then I know something is up. Look at the history of the FDA. Everything that they approved over the years and look at what it has done to people. Now the FDA is trying to outlaw vitamins. The FDA is not your friend.
I don't understand what you are saying GaGirlie777. The FDA is set out to protect American Citizens, then why in the world would they want to do the complete opposite. So does that mean that the US government in against it's own citizens.
@shishimenz FDA is owned by monsanto. Fucking greedy people lining their pockets and not giving a shit about the people affected by their products. Even their growers are getting fucked in the ass on a regular basis. Boycott them, buy organic, buy farmers market. This is ridiculous
I think its really easy to say GM food is bad when your sitting behind your computer screen with a full stomach. There are 8 million people starving in the world today I don't know how many of you have actually sat and thought about how it would feel to slowly starve to death. Jcmvii is right GM food crops are the most regulated products on your supermarket shelves right now. They are regulated by the USDA , EPA and the FDA.
Please search for a video called Indian Farmer Suicide (I think). The fact is that GM crops are not performing as was promised and the corporate hold over GM farmers is destroying their livelihoods. The world already produces enough food to feed its population - the distribution of said food is the problem. Do some research.
And who are the people sitting on these boards? Much of the time they are ex- monsanto employees. Please look up the info. These people are bought and sold many times over. There's at least 4 exp.s of this in the last decade not including Don Rumsfeld who was the president of Searle around the same time as passing aspartame through the FDA. Please do your homework.
GM crops are the most regulated crops every. The EPA, FDA and DEA monitor and ensure their safety. they have been tested more than any other food. this is a lot of fear mongering over something that hasn't yet been shown to have any negative impact.
Look up the problems with the FDA (the biggest regulator). There was even a long article about its (MAJOR) flaws in the reader's digest recently. It's not wise to place so much trust in government agencies that have their hands in the cookie jar. How can you say that the high rates of cancer aren't a negative impact? What do attribute them to? If not the GM foods, then what? Maybe Big Pharma? Did you know that the food and drug industry work very closely together? F.D.a coincidence?
There has yet to be shown a correlation between GM foods and Cancer (or any adverse health effects) there is a population that gets cancer and a population that eats GM foods, so naturally you would expect some overlap, but this overlap is as predicted by chance. It's nothing more than a coincidence, until there's evidence you're basing your beliefs on a conspiracy theory or a pseudo-scientific non-sense.
CODEX ALIMENTARIUS is another organisation formed by the WHO that decides what levels of poison is allowed in our food. Many of its directors are linked to the Agriculture industry. This policy is for the world!
GE or GM is a waste of tax payers money with a cost as high as DEATH. It's just not wroth it look at CANCER rates. 1-4 people in North America will at some point of there life's develop cancer. In my opinion for a lack of a better word Crazy to picture all those people Dieing because of Chemicals,GE, & GM.The experts estimate that it will only get worse with rates going up even higher.Specially if actions & measures don't take place right away to ensure protection for future Generations.
Part 1 is short on facts and high on emotionalism. Left slanting view that we should subsidize small farms rather than the free market solution of getting rid of large farm subsidies. They also ignore the free market solution that producers are FREE to label their food. "Not Genetically Modified."
There have been numerous lawsuits by companies producing GMOs to stop others from labeling them "Not Genetically Modified". If you want to label food this way, you must also incur costs associated with testing to be sure your claims are not false. If you grow corn or canola, which are open pollinated, you need to test on a regular basis.
There is nothing wrong with genetically altered foods.... We wouldn't have some of the great fruits and veggies we have today without them.

Morons...
thewebmaster93 1 year ago
@thewebmaster93 Yes, but just wait until the population keeps going up until we can't sustain it. What happens when the population goes up to 9 billion or 12 billion? Raping the earth for all it's resources and breeding out of control until l it can no longer sustain us isn't the answer. The answer is organic farming in smaller communities; if that requires that we have a smaller population, so be it. People need to learn to stop bringing forth children into an already starving world.
AStrangeTestSubject 1 year ago
@AStrangeTestSubject so, what? one child policies? a central ruling authority determinining who can breed and who cannot? what would the criteria be for a breeding license? who's going to enforce such things? the world is starving because of economic and environmental manipulation by the elites, not because there are too many people. This line of thinking goes down a dark road--one that leads to concentration camps and genocide.
dgbassassassin 1 year ago

They won't want to share them with us lowly citizens!

You wont say that after the corn's e coli takes over your body, and no anti-biotic can cure it because the e coli is already anti-biotic resistant.
Of course there be an alternative to making an even stronger anti biotic... but is that really realistic?

GMOs are not all bad. Take the evolution of transportation, primitive humans made do with horses, but now we happily use far better and cheaper (relative to income) cars - of course there's the issue of car safety and pollution, and that must be worked on, but it's not a reason to not use cars at all.
Cars kill over a million people worldwide a year, are you willing to give up your car? GMO's purported negative effects, even the most extreme, pale in comparison.

They are dogmatic, it is like a religious belief to them.
statickk14 2 years ago

BTW, GM foods are very well tested before it hits the market.
statickk14 2 years ago
They are well tested for what they are designed for (pest resistance, herbicide resistance, etc.). They also test for known allergens. They are NOT well tested in terms of human feeding. Since we are all eating them, health problems can not be clearly linked to them. It would be nearly impossible to have a control group to do a proper study in the US at this point. There have also been numerous cases of unapproved varieties making it into the food supply.

I don't understand what you are saying GaGirlie777. The FDA is set out to protect American Citizens, then why in the world would they want to do the complete opposite. So does that mean that the US government in against it's own citizens.

I'll let you make your own inference. Do some research on depopulation plan.

MYM1933 3 years ago

"Not Genetically Modified."
tittiger 3 years ago
There have been numerous lawsuits by companies producing GMOs to stop others from labeling them "Not Genetically Modified". If you want to label food this way, you must also incur costs associated with testing to be sure your claims are not false. If you grow corn or canola, which are open pollinated, you need to test on a regular basis.
