are you kidding? hard to fly??? this was the first (and only) rc helicopter i've ever owned and it's totally easy to fly, you just need to fine tune it so it's stable!
actually, I'm one of those old weirdos who likes to play with toys. (actually, I'm 19, so, if that's considered old, I'll leave that up to you, but I collect toys, and I always will, so when I'm 60, feel free to hate!)
@fipplepop123 lets say ur plane, heli is always turning to the right u can trim it so it is always turning to the left to counter so it stays straight if that makes sense
It's nice to see an older guy enjoying his toys. I'm 46 and glad to be single - any of my previous girlfriends would be jealous if bought something like this, not getting attention and would probably break it. I'm gonna have to get something like this. Thanks for the review.
The aspect ratio is messed up on your video and it's very distracting. Proportions of everything are wrong. Can you delete it and repost it with the correct aspect ratio?
Good review, yep first thing I did was take the Spring off the Throttle, better, just remember to always have zero throttle when you switch on. I also have less strikes with the Tandem models, and gotta love that Buzzing sound you only get from twins.
OMG wheres is the helicopter you write in title Syma MICRO CH-47 Chinook Helicopter Product review nad i watch this viedo 2 time and till i dont seen it : )
the infra red sensor on mine is too far recessed to keep a sygnal though, so im wondering if you could tell me if its possible to fix it. I have to stay right under it or it loses contact and falls like a stone. none of my others are like that. thanx for any advice.
i just got mine no manual with it what where those two buttons on the top of the control i thought. trim! thanks. IM 42and i think all men should own one its amazing def not for kids;) plus you got some serious kit there and if it made you smile then it was worth the 16 pounds i just paid.
Your input in what the gyro will add to the tandem axle chinook and if it would benefit from a gyro? Or will it just be extra unnecessary weight? Thanks, and keep the videos coming.
Hey nice vid, I've always wanted to get into rc planes/helicopters. I just always loved them. My brother had one of these that he got from a place in the Mall and I wanted to do some research before I bought one and see if I could get one for cheaper. XHELI.com is currently out of stock of the one you have shown in the video, however they do have in stock, for $2 more, a unit with a gyro. Another website has the regular unit for just $30.00. I know its just $2 difference but I wanted to know.
just ordered 2 of these. one as a christmas gift for my dad and one for me just for the hell of it. it looks better than the radio shack mosquito! cant wait to get it in the mail.
They have it on sale for only $19.70 at Nitroplanes. Don't forget shipping cost which is $11.00. Total price of this little plastic thingy comes to over $30!!!
are u a fuckin jew???too many fancy toys to play when children in gaza have nothing to eat cause of your fuckin evil zionist occupation that is destined to end.
i have Syma S022 Big CH-47 Chinook and now syma micro chinook is costs 19 dollars :-P and i think springed throttle is not con but for professional rc helicopter pilots springed throttle is con
had this.. DONT BUY cause its styroform starts to....well hard to explain but break ....erode in a way....mine broke and i never crashed it JUST IN AIR SPLIT IN HALF cause of TOO much vibrations. callled the company and they said i used it too much and strained it by controlling it too much....
@628blade spinning around might be the trim going back wards check the balance bars and blades if they seem ok then you might need to get a refund as these helicopters are mass produced and are easily broken especially if you got it delivered my brother bought one and it arrived broken they are very good fun and easy to fly also very stable.
@Ninjameow97 urm i have the mettle version and have owned one of these some people say they have gyros how however most people just believe it uses the balance bar whatever way round they are very stable and even a first time flyer could fly one.
so ive seen that you've done vidoes on both the Syma S026 and the Emax 9058 and i was wondering witch one you would recommend. this is my first heli and i am not going to buy another one so i dont care about the different controlls but i do not really want the syma because of it controller and that it gets messed up by the sun so i would like your opinion. thanks
I just received the Syma S022 chinook today. I have charged it for about an hour, but it is not working. I was told to turn on the transmitter first and then the helicopter switch, but it still does not work. Do you think it may be on the wrong frequency? Can you change the frequency in the transmitter?
@GAboy3030 on the top, theres a switch. on the bottom of the heli, theres a letter. on the switch, match the switch setting to the letter on the helicopter.
I have one of thees. But it has trouble. When I take off it doesn't get very high and it goes forward automatically. when I press the b trim button it doesn't work. I know I need to replace something. But what? also what is the difference between this and the Emax Mini Chinook, the S022 Army Chinook 3CH Electric RTF RC and the Coast Guard Chinook 2CH Electric RTF RC ? there all Chinooks.
just got mine today, i had one blade strike but i was rocking it back and forth to try and cause one. I picked up 1 extra set of front and rear blades just in case but there was no damage :) great little heli, i am very happy with it.
I love the Syma brand. They take pride in their products and build to a very high standard (unlike another brand beginning with 'S') This is easily the best value, best fun, best looking r/c helicopter available. I've got two already and I'm ordering a third! I'm modifying the first one into a special forces MH-47 (video coming soon!)
Flies about 5 mins (effective), charges again in 30. The remote control is IR (I think, at least some LOS), but I have never experienced out-of-range-issues. Oh, and the LEDs in the bottom are quite handy for picking the exact landing spot (I use saucers for helipads:). All in all: GET ONE!
It can be flown very presicely with som experience. As it is so light, any draft from open doors, windows etc. will impact the flight - also do NOT take it outside. There IS wind - even if you don't feel it, this helo will! Have had one blade strike, no damage though. You will experience some of the same effects as with a larger helo model, particularly the donut ring effect, so be gentle on descents. But again, it is very rugged, so don't worry too much.
Bought one a week ago. (For all Danes: It's currently on sale for DKK 128 in Harald Nyborg). It is surprisingly rugged. Smashed it into the wall, into the ceiling, into...well, everything. As soon as you see you're in trouble, release the spring-loaded throttle lever and let the helo drop to the floor. It will not sustain any damage.
my 5 year old brother has one of those, and soon as i got the trim perfect i let him have a fly.....(bang!) into the wall (smash into the light) i recommend it for people 10 plus...
I bought one of these from maplins And from the very first flight I flew it perfectly just like a proffesional rc heli pilot ,I Was well chuffed with myself... .And on the 3rd day of flying .. I SNEEZED WHILE FLYING IT Around my living room LOST CONTROL OF IT AND... SPLASH!!!! I Kamikazied it Straight into my dogs water bowl ....IT DIED..Sob
lol i had a chinhook i flow it into a very hot lamp and it burnt suprisingly it still worked but kept on banking to the left because of loss of weight.
finding it best to use the yaw trimming knob to stabelize the aricraft, then I switch to using the joy stick. I find the control remains rather dynamic in this respect throughout the flight. This machine has become one of my favorite toys.
I got mine today and I'm very empressed with it. I just need some practice however as my last heli was 4 channel and this is only three but I'm getting better already. I might put some bright coloured paint on the nose so I can see which way round it is more easily.
I have the bigger s022 version of this chinook and have crashed it at very high altitude with minimal damage to rotors. It does not work well if there is ANY wind at all outside. It must be dead calm outside, but it is a lot of fun.
I should be getting mine in a few days. I'm not expecting to be able to fly it out side. I would think that the maximum speed it can reach indoors represents the maximum wind speed it can cope with, and this is with a very skilled pilote at the controls.
I just got one of these for Xmas and have used it non stop since. They're just so fun and effortless :D definitely worth it from Maplin's in the UK for just £15.
I am 54 years old, and bought this thing, just for giggles. Am having a blast, the good news, no matter how badly i crack it up i put it back on its wheels and take off again, not so with most straight wing r/c. It is durable teaches the the novice about the difference in Heli flying. Now I understand, flying a heli is like driving on the world's slickest ice! Just think about it and you are doing it, great way to build and imporve flying skills and also good Video!!!...Thanks Gianni

In the moments after take I have been
finding it best to use the yaw trimming knob to stabelize the aricraft, then I switch to using the joy stick.

It must be dead calm outside, but it is a lot of fun.

lol what are the chances i just got given one of these as a present and i see you have one Nightflyyer lol.
I just plugged it in, i think it's charging but there is no LED when charging like it says in the manual.
Ahh well just have to wait and see :)
