  • K brb let me go grab $300,000.00 out of my rainyday jar.

  • What about breaking? What is the braking distance on the water and on land. Does the Fan just feed air forwared to slow and brake?

  • no-wheel drive :D

  • nice vid and places

  • cool beans!

  • Great vid shame its not a diesel i believe petrol and water never mix. Nice piece of kit though just the same

  • There is no transmission in these. Diesels do not turn fast enough for this type of thing.

  • It's not the power that propells the hovercraft but the torque. This video features a Toyota 4.0L V8 pushing this Explorer at 38 to 40 knots. Not Shabby!

  • this is my consume dream I loved this!

  • hi i dont suppose youve lloked at griffon hovercraft then as they have very similar craft.

  • I have seen the Griffon a company in Canada Vanair hovercraft that I have limited agreement makes an 18 passenger Griffon type vehicle using a Cummings 5.9L Turbo diesel engine.

  • So, how much would the craft be from you? Also, how much would shipping for a craft be from the UK?

  • You don't mess with perfection....this is as close as you could get!!!

  • There is always room for improvement.

  • sorry for the delay I just finished moving to Pennsylvania in March and still settling in. Call me at the NEW number 1-516-661-9453

  • I love this hovercraft!

is compact, tiny, very useful, beautiful ...

  • So do I!!

  • dude if you know anything about water it moves. This hovercraft travels well abovwe 5" more like 10 but unless you were in its path you won't ever see the spacing

  • what sort of licensing would I need to use it commercially in the UK?

  • If you're using it on water a marine licence should be suficient. The Explorer is Internationally compliant and certified

  • hi.

waht would i need to do to register in the uk?

  • is a very good hovercraft!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I personally think it's one of the best products on the market. Just remember it is third generation, not the British SNR commercial type.

  • "Explorer" es a Extroidinare...Mucho Gusto!!

  • What is the range and fuel capacity? Also, if it can be stopped on water is it recommended to keep it on land or can I keep it at a dock, as this area is mostly rocky shorelines(Norwegian coast).

  • Sorry for the delay I just moved to Pennsylvania in March 2008. You can moore it like a boat at the dock or drive up the ramp fot out of the water storage

  • Great looking product. How well does it traverse waves? What if the engine dies while in the water? Is the hull boyant? Do you keep oars onboard? Still looking for sales reps?

    Cheers!

  • The "Explorer" can navigate up to 2 oot chops, The hull has boyancy chambers, when the engine is off it rests in the water just like a boat, hence you can moor the hovercraft at the docks. Each craft comes with [2] 9 man life rafts that are certified for deep ocean use. Yes I just had a meeting with a Nigerian gentleman about water taxi and possible drilling platform purchase!

  • The Explorer will hadle up to 2 foot chops in the open water. The floatation collar is permanently inflated and there are bouyancy chambers built into the hull do at reat it is very much like being in a boat! Yes Straight commission for sales brought in contact new number 1-724-594-7465 ask for Robert!

  • i love hovercrafts. they are so cool. they dont really seem too useful in anything other than being cool though

  • Think of all the possible uses where hovercraft would be extremely useful, Environmental protection, resort rentals, fishing, hunting, snow excursions, extreme snow trailing, Lakeside rentals, motor launch for yachts. If the U.S. had hovercrafts think of how many people who could have been saved during hurricane "Katrina"!

  • you would be surprised how useful they are. Just think of how many more people in New Orleans could have been helped if they had hovercraft instead of boats. Fire Departments, Search & Rescus, Water Taxi, Pleasure, Sightseeing etc.

  • I want one! But i gotta wonder How big of breakers can it handle (if at all). I live along the north Pacific (Oregon, in the US) The seas are a tad bit rough here, lol.

  • In the North Pacific you might have a seasonal usage: However the inland waterways should b a piece of cake. The "Explorer" can maneuver through about 2 foot chops and there is an upgraded version with a 5.9L Cummings Turbo diesel engine. You would also have the optional Marine Grade Aluminum Hull required by the U.S. Coast Guard for that area!

  • The waters around the Alaska and Oragon regions are pretty harsh especially the winter months. This carft would handle 2 foot chops. But that still leaves a lot to be desired. However inland waters might not be too difficult during late Spring through Late Fall.

  • probly guzzles gas

  • The gas milage is far less than a boat because you aren't in the water but hovering on a cushion of air over the water. i.e. NO DRAG!

  • There are 2 models the Toyota 4.2L V8 and the Cummings 5.9L Turbo Diesel so you do have options!

  • you own one

  • I am a Sales and Marketing Rep but I intend to own one in the near future1

  • I am just the sales representative but I would if I had the money. These thins are so cool!

  • what will happen if u stud behind the fan?

  • That depends on how close. Very close you will have stuff blown into your face...However at a distance you will not feel anything but a light breeze.

  • do you have any information on starting a tourist/taxi business? i think this could really work where i am moving.

    paul

  • Because this product is made outside the United States

tht "Jones Act" which enacted to protect American shipping has some restrictionms. I suggest you go online or check with your state maritime laws for permit requirements. Outside the U.S. you need to contact that government.

  • Very intresting. How would they work in the ocean with the waves and such? I like how they give very little wake.

  • Like any boat there are limitations to hovercraft...the Explorer can be operated in up to 2 foot chops; Although it has a limited range you won't be going across any oceans!

  • fuck that look at the price oh but i bet it would work on tourists down here in florida i would buy one but i wouldnt buy one for just fun

  • I am looking for a sales rep. in your area would you be interested. Check out Slider "Beyond Tomorrow" & "Ths Ultimate Hovercraft". There are rental opportunities for both crafts. Check the Jones Act maritime laws for rental & tour operastors. But for recreational use you only have to register the craft like any other boat! 1 [516] 205-2435

  • i want one!

  • call Me at 516-205-2435 Mon through Saturday

  • too cool

  • can i have one

    its cool

  • I'm looking for sales reps 5% commission

  • really GR8FI9D how about the UK also I have some idea's on how to build a hovercraft,

  • I have no problem in this market which is wide open. I chose Pacific Hovercraft of New Zealand after full discussion with the owner and the agreements made that allow me to create special versions for Search & Rescue, Fire Service, The Military and Recreational uses. In other words no restrictions on marketing!

  • UK has been producing hovercraft for over half a century. But nothing like this....this is smooth and I have added som custom features that you will not find in theirs. Frist I went Sporty: Corbeau Buckets, JVC or SONY Stereo/AM-FM/CD,[2] 8 Man Int'l Life rafts, Furuno Radar, KVH Trackvision Satalite TV w/ 10" or 12" monitor. There is a list of options I could e-mail. Call me 1-516-661-9453

  • GR8FI9D Said : "UK has been producing hovercraft for over half a century. But nothing like this"

Thats wrong, britan has the most succsefull hovercraft company in the world

    - Griffon Hovercraft -

And their version of a hovercraft this size is the Griffon 2000TD, Or maybe the 380

  • i want one

  • call Me at 516-205-2435 Mon through Saturday

  • nice. a toyota V8 :) how is it environmentally friendly though? does it run on natural gas or normal petrol?

  • It runs on Regular unleaded Gas, there is also a Cummings 5.9L diesel version too!

  • WooHoo im the first 2 comment!

  • Extremely cool! Did you know that the US Navy operated these things (about the same size, too) in Vietnam???

  • Call me at 1-516-205-2435 I will send you the story of the ACV units that served in 1968 "Plain Of Reeds" in Vietnam!

  • i want one

  • call Me at 516-205-2435 Mon through Saturday

  • Safe? what if that thing's air cushion hit a reef? or is that what those "extra air tight compartments" are for? and $300,000.000?! do they like ship it to your local marina? clean it, equip it, ect?

  • The skirt system is repairable so if you do tear it mot of the time minor repairs can be made by the owner. However if you do serious damage the skirt can be replaced!

  • cool ! if only i had the money lol

  • "WHO GIGGLE IN EXPECTATION! WOW! A RIIIIDE, IN A HOVERCRAAAFT!" Priceless... :P

  • Nice low sound level for a hovercraft. I have been hovercrafting for over 20 years and I can say this is the most paletable hovercraft in terms of noise level I have ever heard! Best regards.

  • At top speed what does the wake look like??

  • really cool video!!

  • good day mate!

  • Fucking Tight

  • I want one.

  • Nice craft
