The thing I LOVE about Adam as Roger not only was he handpicked by the great Johnathan Larson to play Roger but it's almost like he doesn't have to try to get back into the character and portray raw emotion...and even if it is a slightly different version of the song, it's not completely inaccesible to people new to Rent and to the fans who have been along for the ride for years now (me included) Adam blows me away everytime! He is truly an artist Amazing.
if one is stuck with the musical or the movie, he will not appreciate this. i say, this is one fantastic version of the song. he and the instrumentals in the background are perfect. he sings very well. two thumbs up for adam.

robaczana: Well, he can sing. All you need to do is to check out him singing "Pity the Child" in Chess in Concert. As for acting, he does a pretty good job as Roger IMO at least, and how can you NOT think of him as sexy?!

@Felicity1247 Well, in MY opinion he can't, really. Or maybe I should try to formulate it better, maybe I've overreacted. He can sing, but I can't stand him playing Roger's role, really. I'm totally in love with Will's creation and I just don't understand people saying Adam's better than Will. Anyway, I love Adam as Radames in "Aida", I have to admit he's really good, but only as Radames - in my opinion of course. I'm gonna to check out "Pity the Child", but still I don't think he could be sexy.

robaczana: Well, differences of opinions, I suppose. I haven't seen Will play Roger, so perhaps I ought to check him out. And please do check out "Pity the Child"--I think that will make you change your mind about his acting. He gives a superb rendition of that song.

@Felicity1247 how can anyone think Will's is better - Adam totally rocks as Roger - I cant stand watching the broadway's final cast - none of them are the characters to me and they just dont fit into the big shoes of the originals
