But the replay value i think is not as good in the 1st one as it is in the 3rd mainly because of the difficulty completing the game, the final boss in the 3rd devil may cry along with the cutscene i think was the best part about the game

Why am I getting a Resident Evil (the first game) feel into this one, I know this game was first intended to a sequel to RE but they incroperated that much of it's element, it's surprising. But then again it's not a bad thing. Love this game.

ppl might not realize it, but this game is far more great than ppl think, in 2001, this game set the role book for 3d ACT games, almost all ACT games comes after, DMC series, god of war, ninja gaiden, followed the major strcuture that this game, DMC1, created.

What im saying is, DMC set the role book of mordern ACT games, itself is a by product of RE, but RE being more of an AVG game, don't really have much to do with ACT these days, if you check out God of Wars, Ninjia Gaiden, all that, U'll see the mainly follow the frame set by DMC1, and have very little if any relationship with RE, Alone in the dark or etc

I read somewhere that they were plannin on Res 4 game back then after Res 3 and this came about when they thought they were gonna scrap this game because it was a radical departure from the normal Resident Evil survival horror genre. Instead of scrapping this game, they slap on the Devil May Cry title and after a little tweaking here and there of the fighting/physics engine for Dante this game came to be.
