@matale66 A quarter circle means just that, Down, then Down+forward, then Forward, or Down, down+back, then back - it's 1/4 of a circular motion on the D-pad/control stick -
@ATwoTailedFox Basically it's forward, then down, then down forward - it's often seen as a zigzag or dragon punch move (for those whove played alot of Street fighter back in the day) - hope it helps
i have a friend that wants to change my Donkey Kong Country Returns for his Tatsunoko vs Capcom and Guitar Hero Van Halen...my question is, is this game as good as DKCR? i know they are different genres but id like to know if this game is good because i really enjoy DKCR and im afraid to get a bad game...
also can you play this with the SNES classic controller?
@TheKillerHorseman Far out dude. That's a tough choice. This game is really hyper fun - if you like fighting games even a little, this is a stellar title. But Donkey Kong Country Returns may be one the best platformers ever made. You'd be missing out heaps of over the top action, but DKCR is still slightly better imo - I play TvsC using my gamecube controller and my wii classic controller
This was well made. Excellent video for beginners such as myself. You actually show what buttons to press, plus give a good explanation to everything.
@DAK075 Why thank you. It'a always a pleasure to see someone taking time and interest in my videos, and also for praising my work. I love hearing from people, and comments are a great way for me to contact the rest of the world. This game is fantastic, but sadly has so many extra sections to the controls and gameplay, that a novice (like myself at the beginning) was overwhelmed. I see it as an honour to have your attention. Enjoy the game, and I'll post more like this soon
Yeah, I got this game like 2 days ago, took the game to my friend's house, (who has never even played the game nor even heard of it before) and my friend kept on beating me because his button mashing skills were better than mine. =P But this video helped me understand some of the more advanced techniques, so now I'll have a one up on him the next time. Button mashing only gets you so far. (Even though his button mashing leads to some sick combos at times.)
@0Achicaru0 It's hard to get the analogue stick to do that. The d-pad is much easier to use, however, if your using the gamecube controller, it's easier to do a forward, then a full half circle forward - and then the attack button - even though it's a full half circle, the game recognizes the first forward, the down and the down forward, and ignores the final forward - try it out!
@stsworldrules That's cool - the 4 changes to the colour scheme per character when you choose them, press the a, b, y or x - on gamecube controller and classic controller - not sure about using the wii remote/nunchuck
Fenberry... great video.. and maybe we might play one day.. altho Im pretty trashy when it comes to blocking/guarding ... -__-
I just recently started playing soo is there any tips from anyone that can help me with that.. sorry to ask tho. And I play with the Wii Remote soo yea :P
Sadly no - The wii remote can help making Special attacks and Super attacks much easier, but you can't differentiate between light, medium and heavy attacks - also things like launching is hard to do since there isn't a button for heavy - you can do Variable air raves, but it's kinda hard to do - it does make things easy, but you don't get the same level of button combinations or control - just you can spam hadoukens really easy
hey do 1 for the wii mote and nunchuck, i can't figure it out for the life of me and check out some of my vids.im not all that great on moves so i do repeat but i mix it up and occassionally do some decent stuff when lag, rqs,my wifi,or the freakin wii mote aint actin stupids
@YouKnowItzTTime81 I'll show the Wii remote and nunchuck, but the thing is, not many moves are possible, since the wii mote doesn't differentiate between light, medium and heavy...
@BenxtUae Hey man. Glad it helped :D The game is great :) It's fast paced, it's deep enough to be good for advanced players, and alot of fun even for people who just want to button mash too - the special attacks are flashy and over the top (which is what I really enjoy the most), and the graphics are fluid and gorgeous - every wii owner should have this game. You can use wiimote/nunchuck as well :D
@fenberry24 Moves that require the input like @ 3:10, exactly how do u do those? Ive tried slidin my thumb in the zig-zag motion, and ive tried mashing those buttons but I can never pull those type of move off. Could u explain how to do it?
@DoubleAIV Hi there - sorry for the delay in coming back to you - Hmmm - so it's a zig zag your trying to do? Like the Shin Shoryuken that Ryu does?
You can do something similar by pressing forward, then doing a quarter circle in the direction you want. So it would be forward, then down, then down+forward, then forward again - the game doesn't care if you put an extra forward or backward on the end of a quarter circle, it still completes it... hope that helped!
great tips i was able to do most moves but having trouble on finding how to do combos correctly thanks i added your friend code love to play some time i'am not very good but geting better
@jhelms03 Really? I'm glad! Combo's can be a bit of a problem, but normally you'd be able to go light, light, medium, down+medium, heavy, Command normal (like Forward heavy), then a special attack, then a super -
I'd love to play - just I haven't had a chance to play for a while online, and don't have my Wii Ethernet Adapter anymore.. but when I do it would be wicked :)
great tips i was able to do most moves but having trouble on finding how to do combos correctly thanks i added your friend code love to play some time i'am not very good but geting better
@ManjyomeThunder1 Me too - Well, I'm still having issues with getting further in my life, though I'm at a friends house until I sort myself out - This game rocks and is a very good purchase... There's so much to the game, that it can be fairly confusing - Hope it helps!
@MannyFresh1254 I'm glad you liked it - I know alot of people do tend not to know how to play it - or any of the advanced stuff, so I hope everyone will really like it
@fenberry24 yeah i didnt know any of the advanced stuff. to be honest,i just pressed buttons until i knew how to make a makeshift combo without being cheap. Zero and Tekkenman blade are my fav team LOL
@Marduk666999 It's been rather long - but yes, I'm back - The internet connection I'm using at the moment is shaped, so I can just do as I please and upload - plenty of stuff on it's way.
