Yes, you are right. Unfortunately you wont see any termites in Sweden. So, I took a plank, cut that in half and sawed the pieces into a cone shape, then I carved out the holes using a hammer and a chisel (that took a long time!), and the I glued the pieces together. After that it was time to plane down the final piece until it was round. Then I painted it.
i just made on too cause i live in the midwest US and i got an oak tree. found a branch that looked like it its already good to use. I also did the cut in half method. but i used a router to hollow it out, then finished it with a chisel cause it does take a LONG time.lol then glued it together and sealed it. ill be posting a vid of mine soon as well., but Fred, nice work.

they are very easy to hollow out...and they work well and look great when varnished

I'm curious how you hollowed it out. Aren't didgeridoos generally hollowed out by termites or something?

I used a pine plank. I found it in my dads garage, because he is a carpenter.
