  • ‎telemarketer: hello sir hows your day? me: shitty. telemarketer: i'm sorry to hear that, maybe this new product could help you? me: what is it? telemarketer: we are going to attempt to sell you a mastercard II, with a free trial me: alright im in. telemarketer: o.k. so we are going to need your CURRENT credit card number. me: 3444-fuck-imso-high. telemarketer: .... me: hello?

  • FUCK telemarketers

  • LOL at the joepops727 trying to justify himself/feel better about his s#!tty vocational choice. . .as if "just doing my job" has EVER been a justification for ANYTHING. Engage your brain: if your job was to walk down the street and whack random people on the head, would you try to deflect their outrage w/the same explanation? #TooDumbToDoAnythingElse

  • Genius!

  • Wwwwwooooooooohhhhhoooooooo!!!!!!!!! yes

  • I'm trying to get rid of a radio survey now. I'm going to memorize this.

  • Anyone noticed a microphone hanging above the kitchen at 0:12

  • Like a boss!

  • Classic.

  • Here in Finland he gave me the number. Talk about trusting people.

  • Lol this is funny

  • Shut up you damn telemarketer. Idc if your just doing your job. People hate telemarketers cause when we say no thanks u don't give up. I've said no to a telemarketer 3 times and he still kept trying to talk to me so I blew up cussed him out and hung up. I was nice untill u wouldn't give up. Take no and move on and I have no problems with u doing your job.

  • perfect response " alright i'll give you my number as soon as you tell me where you work so i can give you a hard time when you're just trying to do your job"

too bad i'd get it trouble if i said that on the phone.

btw you may think you "burn" us by saying this but as soon as you hang up we laugh at you and call you an unorginal douche.

  • works like a charm

  • I just hang up when they call.

  • Real life: "Why don't you give me your home number and I'll call you later?" "That's okay, sir, we'll just try and call you again another time. Good-bye."

  • LOL "TMI long distance service"

  • Believe it or not, George isn't at home.

Please leave a message at the beep.

I must be out or I'd pick up the phone.

    Where could I be?

Believe it or not, I'm not home.

  • Well, they just hang up on you when you try to tell telemarketers off.

You are given the option of opting out of receiving calls but some still will call.

  • Jerry Seinfeld. The master at work! There has never been a better show!

  • Too bad it doesn't work on SMS.

  • I have done this so many times! And I can pull it off!

But afterwards I feel bad, because after all, they are people just trying to make a living.

  • @jmikejapan so if a guy say, pulls down his pants and smacks u in the face and then says "oh this is commercial for viagra" or something similar, would that make it ok in ur eyes? Im just wondering :P

  • @Disturber99 What the fuck are you talking about? I can't understand a word you said.

Are we even talking about the same thing?

What does any of that have to do with the clip?

  • @Disturber99 That would probably make it cummy in my eyes.. just sayin'.

  • Classic..i gotta try this

  • do this all the time..... most of the time they cut the call...so it works

  • BOOM ROASTED.

  • I'M USING THIS!!

  • I love how they just raid his kitchen.

  • @mj2119sfl Is that fucking English?

  • Comment removed

  • I would like to do this, but i feel bad for telemarketers. I always think they're on the brink of committing suicide.

  • @miteyboosh23 Well its just a job.

  • @miteyboosh23 simple solution, quit that piece of crap job and find something better to do with your life.

  • this is the greatest idea ever!!!!!

  • i just got a call at this very moment..it's a telemarketer XD.....soooo freaaakkyyyy!!

  • I just fart and hang up.

  • That was one of my favorite parts of Seinfeld. ^_^ I actually want to try this now. XD

  • so good!!!!

  • Why does the telemarketer sound like Dane Cook?

  • thumbs up if you ever got a telamarketr call!

  • 42 people are telamarketors

  • im gonna do this one day when i get a call

  • LIKE A BOSS.

  • LOL T.M.I.

  • Give the telemarketer's a break, most of them are student's trying to pay off the rent

  • @khaostorniquet So what? They`re fucking annoying.lol

  • @khaostorniquet Simple or compound?

  • ha

  • Telemarketers should go to the gas chamber.

  • @bamatommy No the people paying telemarketers should be shot. Then they wouldn't bee a need to call people. Plus you only have to shoot like 2-10 people instead of killing of the telemarketers

  • i used to get hassled by some indian company so once when I got a call from them, i cut the guy off midsentence and asked him how he got this number, he said it was on a public register, i replied that this is a secured government phone line and that if the number is public thats a serious breach in security and i needed to speak to his superviser. When the supervisor came on i shouted as loudly as possible to take me off the fucking register. they never called back

  • Well thank god for caller id!

  • After watching this several times, I eventually noticed the boom-microphone above the kitchen.

  • Oh clever. I should do that sometime XD

  • Jerry Seinfeld is DA BOMB!

  • One of my favorite Seinfeld scenes!

  • unfunny

  • so what ?,you don't know that ,if they want, they can watch youtube, they can do whatever they want ,even if they can't hear anything .

  • executed so perfectly

  • actually yes , what's wrong with that? and fyi ,there are people who can't hear , deaf people ,so this is for them !

  • @n01231 Deaf people don't go on youtube, mate. They're FUCKING DEAF.

  • @tomoom165 yes, they are deaf... not blind...

or do you often get those two concepts confused?

  • @hcvang Youtube is audiovisual.

  • Telemarketer: Hi, would you be interested in switching over to TMI long distance service.

Jerry: Oh, gee, I can't talk right now. Why don't you give me your home number and I'll call you later.

Telemarketer: Uh, I'm sorry we're not allowed to do that.

Jerry: Oh, I guess you don't want people calling you at home.

    Telemarketer: No.

Jerry: Well now you know how I feel LOL

  • @n01231 did you really have to write that? we just heard it.

  • @n01231 You just quoted the whole video, dumbass.

  • Comment removed

  • @n01231

    wrong...

    jerry didn't LOL

  • @n01231 Yep. We watched the video...

  • I'm gonna use this!

  • I worked as a telemarketer last summer (gimme a break, I'm a college student) and I can't tell you how many people tried this routine!

But most of them either said it very meekly, or forgot how it goes mid-way through! (everybody thinks it's easy to act or tell a good joke...until they are put on the spot XD)

  • @BeverlyHills2ndGen I use this every time some douchebag wants to try and sell me something useless by phoning me up in my home. Every time. Perfect fucking line.

  • @hcvang: "Some douchebag" is just doing their job, the way you and everyone else does their own.

And before you say something like "it's a shitty job", you should consider that most telemarketers hate their own job too! Mostly, they have to do it because they need money and they have no experience.

  • @BeverlyHills2ndGen Sadly, that is true... SUE THEM!

  • @BeverlyHills2ndGen you what you should do, if they ask for ur phone number give it to them :P

  • @YaYoAr trust me thats not the smartest thing you can do.. i used to work as one back in the day and did exactly that.. some of them actually called back after work hours and in the weekends..

  • @BeverlyHills2ndGen

I don't envy that job, but at least you had some fun doing it. People who think they're funny and witty by repeating a joke they got from a sitcom deserves to make a fool of themselves.

  • surprised the guy who called didn't have an indian accent.

not being racist btw... i'm Indian hahahaha

  • im so using dat

  • I have actually done this.

  • Ahahaha so funny! :P

  • Aha beautiful! No reason to yell and swear at them, just be smart about it

  • 0:11 he sounds a lot like judah friedlander

  • omg now i wish that my number wasnt blocked to telemarketers just so i could do this haha

  • owned

  • Thank GOD I'm not a telemarketer!

  • i used to work in telephone market research and people would regularly try this line with me. I would just say 'sure' and ask them if they had a pen to take down my number; most of the time they would just go "uh....um......no...." when that didnt happen i would just give em my ex girlfriends number.

    people are idiots.

    hahahahahatrololololol

  • @tbonehertz I think you're missing the point of the line, there. The customer isn't actually planning to call you - just to make a point about the rudeness of the industry.

  • @MrBuch169169 nah nah i get it - it just wears pretty thin when you're working 2 jobs and going to uni full time and the people u work with are stay at home mothers and fathers and retirees - a simple 'not interested' would suffice.

  • @tbonehertz I dunno, it's extremely hard to sympathise, given the job you've chosen! I hear you, though. Fair point.

  • @tbonehertz Telemarketers have given CSR work a bad name. Whenever i tell people that I work at a call center, they say "i hate telemarketers," so i have to clearify that I am not a telemarketer, that I for one have a LEGITIMATE job. its not hard to be a telemarketer. If you're a monkey barely smart enough to call me and ask me to buy something, your'e a telemarketer. allow me to throw you a banana, good job teletard.

  • @johnniefive80 - I cant tell if youre trying to insult me, but just for clarification - i USED to work in telephone market RESEARCH where we would ask people questions about all manner of things and in some cases PAYING THEM.

This was when I was a full time student holding 3 jobs; the people I worked with were by and large good people, stay at home mums and dads, retirees, students, recovering alcoholics, ex CEO's and people effected by the GFC.

  • @tbonehertz hard working decent people don't make a stupid industry not stupid. I screw with telemarketers every time they call me. If they don't like it, they can get a legitimate job. they can put me on the "do not harrass me because i have an idiots job for idiots" list

  • @johnniefive80 - just so were on the same page - you do realise telemarketing is different to market research right?

  • @tbonehertz who are you trying to convince? its just sad when people choose a stupid job then go on youtube and defend it. If you feel like a moron for being a telemarketer, get a diferent job. its easy really, give it a try.

  • @johnniefive80 - oh im just bored at work at the moment where i earn $90k a year doing MARKET RESEARCH, working on a project for the cancer council at the moment, what are you up to?

Tell you what dickhead, go read through what i said in my previous posts and maybe get a dictionary to help you with the big words.

Then look for someone else to look stupid in front of.

I know u need the last word so just go ahead and get it out of ur system while i go on with my life.

  • @tbonehertz go on with yourlife, thats exactly the attitude you should have had before defending a dead beat industry. and no, i don't want the last word, infact i love our discussion, i have a huge hardon for you.

  • y would u be in a gay bar kinda gay

  • P.S., I'm not gay!

  • sounds like the guy that stole jerry's car.

  • that telemarketer got OWNED!!

  • @iitszCosmo Nah, They don't have rights. NO YouTube for them!

  • @iitszCosmo

    Wow, what an original comment!

  • LoL "TMI" Long Distance

  • I tried it... The guy said Uhhhhh, and then i hung up and started cracking up.

  • so funny

  • Damn it, it doesn't work this way... When a telemarketer calls, there's a pause, so if you answer and say "Hello?" and nobody says anything, odds are, it's a telemarketer... Plus, who the hell doesnt have caller ID these days? If I see a number I don't recognize, i dont answer it... If it's important enough, they'll leave a voicemail, and I call them back. Anyone who has trouble with telemarketers these days, is an idiot.

  • @korruptx buddy who said anybody had trouble with them? the whole point of this is to have some fun with it...

  • @korruptx Do you realize when this show was made?

  • OWN!

  • Telemarketers have gotten smart to this line. It worked for me a few times, but now as soon as I try it, they just hang up and mutter something about "Seinfeld!"

  • @vccstudents Well if they hand up then you've accomplished your goal.

  • @vccstudents Well if they hang up then you've accomplished your goal.

  • Everyone who likes this Shit are mean spoiled jerks that don't know what it means to have to do what you need to to earn a living !!!!!!! Everyone that answers the phone at your bank is a telemarketer; you're just ignorant!!!!! And saying yes and hanging up just means you get a call back. IN FACT you keep pissing us off at times we call back to spite you. We have feelings too !!!! Nobody likes to be treated like shit. Think about that while you're at work, unless you have everything handed 2 U.

  • @Miracle490d I just like telling them the truth: "I am on the Do Not Call registry. By even having this conversation you are perpetrating a crime. When I hang up I will be reporting this violation and any subsequent calls to the state attorney general. This is an official notice to remove my number from your calling list as required by Missouri state law."

I understand what it means to work, and to have a job to do. Just realize that doing your job incorrectly in Missouri IS A CRIME....

  • @ramv36 That's understandable. But you should realize that not all telemarketing applies to that registry. It applies to sales, so it doesn't include such things as charities or survey; if I recall correctly. But any repectable telemarketer will explain that and offer to remove you from their own calling list when you make a statement like that, even without the request. We always try to abide by any laws, appologize in any error, and correct it immediately. ex.dialer calls wrong state after 9.

  • @ramv36 PS thank you for being respectable. So many on here are cruel. It makes it harder for the honest decent telemarketers to remain polite and honest. Especially when companies require hard to reach quotes. I like to help my customers, but cruel attitudes make it hard to not say screw the people spitting on me; I'm going to lie to keep my job. And people wonder where dishonst telemarketers come from. They create them.

  • @Miracle490d You are a complete loser, a total failure in society. Nobody likes you.

  • @d4n131M3j14 People liked me plenty when I worked with disabled, children, and elderly; but it didn't pay. If you all hate telemarketers so much, you should work to get other employers to pay more than minimum. Got tired of being a loser in the pay check.

  • @Miracle490d Yes, because telemarketers are not losers... Sorry mate but you are not helping anyone with a TM job, only the megacorps. And yes, get a life and don't reply EVERY comment.

  • @Miracle490d Get a life, hippie

  • @Miracle490d you try being the victim when elections roll around and you got the same guy calling u 5 times a to get you to vote for him >.>

  • @nightwishwolf999 I've called for political surveys before. Irronically, more of those customers have been polite then with sales. Actually one of my more pleasant jobs. "Vote for him?" Did the actual candidate running call you? That wouldn't be a telemarketer; if it was. It's not a telemarketers job to piss you off. And it's stupid practice for a candidate wanting votes to anger you. I don't do that. Call backs should only come if you said you were busy and requested it. & dialers never CB 5x..

  • @nightwishwolf999 Call backs should only come if you said you were busy and requested it. .....And dialing systems never call right back. I don't even think auto dialers will call the same day unless a certain time is set by request. if you were called 5x in a row, I'd question the authenticity. Whoever called most likely used a common phone and dialed by hand. Most auto dialers are not that precise and repetitive, even if we wanted them to be. .....

  • @nightwishwolf999 ........ I don't mind human telemarketers as much as I hate having recorded messages clogging my answering machine. And you can't tell a recording that you don't have a need for it or take you off the list. So you have to call a company a go through their maze to get your number removed. But thats what happens when people want to get rid of the human equasion. Advertisers will put their message out one way or another. But legit telemarketers are just doing their job same as any

  • @nightwishwolf999 ....thanks for being more respectable than others calling names. If you want to stop telemarketing calls you don't have to be rude. I can understand not wanting to be bothered. If its a republican party calling tell them you vote democrat or that they have your vote. That should end it. If by some error you're called again, they should apologize profusely, and release the call quickly as soon as you tell them. Some places have told me they had the same names on more than1 list.

  • @nightwishwolf999 ....Some places have told me they had the same names on more than one list, that can cause repeated calls. I hate that situation. It's not the caller who does that. ...Anyway hope that helps reduce the calls.

  • Telemarketers are Losers... who cant get a real job... Phone Whores!!

  • @MrDontmakemecomeover I had a real job with disabled, children, and elderly; but it didn't pay. If you all hate telemarketers so much, you should work to get other employers to pay more than minimum. Got tired of being a loser in the pay check. At least whores get paid more than pennies.

  • LMFAO IVE HEARD MY UNCLE DO THIS NOW I KNOW WHY HE DOES IT!!! HAHAH

  • TEH FLOOD WAZ HERE!

  • PURE GENIUS !!!!!!!! =DDDDD

  • 36 people are telemarketers

  • How to miss telemarketing calls: GET A JOB! GET A LIFE!

  • owned!

  • ive done this every single time a telemarketer calls

  • 30 telemarketers watched this video.

  • @alexxxdamasta187 you must be one of them idiot.

  • I can understand for everyone how they hate calls from telemarketers. I do too myself, but I do feel bad for them sometimes too if you really think about it. The vast majority of them get lashed out on by people like us when they're merely just doing their "job." What a lose lose situation.

  • are you idiots fucking retarded? this is the best sitcom ever ...

  • Done it. Most of the people know it from seinfeld

  • OMG i HAVE TO try this next time i get called buy a telemarketer LOL

  • Couldn't have said it any better myself Jerry!

  • I've done this, and it used to work, but telemarketers have gotten smarter. They just hang up when you ask for their home numbers!

  • OWNED

  • Not that funny

  • @TheBenedictStone What is wrong with you. ^^

  • @DarthPRB Common sense perhaps?

  • @TheBenedictStone how is that not funny it's a classic

  • @SIRHENNY1 Really? I hadn't even heard of Seinfeld until recently.

  • @TheBenedictStone i dnt blame ya the show was basicly his career

  • @SIRHENNY1 His career and his stand up comedy

  • @TheBenedictStone now that's just sad

  • @hammerman2006 I completely agree... Seinfeld is sad. ;)

  • thats the best telemarketer thing EVA hahah

  • hehehehehehe.. Make ALL cold calling marketing iligal..This form of marketing does NOT work..and is nothing more than a public nuisance..!!

  • freakin funny episode lololol
