Indeed one of the most tragic stories in Jazz, and still, she remains largely forgotten today.
Rock and Roll screwed it up for a lot of singers, and it wasn't until the mid-'90s, that this type of music would become popular again.

Yeah a cross between Stacey Kent (who I like and Blossom Dearie who I don't).And suicide was tragic but hey R&R was coming in and she was a sad girl.

Sadly, hers is one of the more tragic tales in show business--she committed suicide some time in 1960, for mysterious reasons...
