@fedorov1977 Dual clutch transmissions are obviously a lot better as far as how fast they can shift, but I prefer a manual to stay more connected to the car. I find it a lot more fun to row through the gears manually, and rev match the car myself. I choose a manual because it's what I prefer, not because I think that it's better, or because I think I can shift better than an automated gear box.

yea on the e46 it seems deeper/louder in the higher revs, I think that the s54 motor is louder than the s65 unrestricted maybe has something to do with it - I had a full exhaust on my old e46 m3 and it was louder than the m480 system, but I am still 100 percent satisfied with this system....

Yep. 6 speed manual all the way. It is faster around the race track than the M-DCT as well.
